The county is replacing several portions of the sidewalk in our neighborhood because they were old and uneven in places. I just walked past a new patch of the sidewalk to find that a whole bunch of the neighborhood kids carved their names and initials into a large portion of the wet concrete. At least 10 of the sidewalk squares are involved and it looks terrible. I have no idea if their parents know or not but it's not something that's easy to miss. I can't imagine how many years I'll have to stare at that graffitied sidewalk every time I walk by. |
Oh the HORROR! |
HAHA LOL. Me and my friends did this 20+ years ago on some new cement by our house. I went back and it's still there. THE MEMORIES! Love. |
They defaced it. In the scheme of things, this won't mess up the actual concrete much. |
Really? You drew across 30 feet of wet cement and you're proud of it? |
And you wouldn't have done that, when you were 12?
|
Gotta be a troll, but I'll play along.
Some neighbor kids up the street did this outside their house. I actually think it's cute and smile when I walk past it. Their mom must love it. I also did this as a kid. I think you'll be okay. |
NP You really need to unclench. |
Let me be clear that these weren't dainty little initials in the corner of a square. It is a LARGE portion of the sidewalk. If I had done that when I was 12 my father would have spanked me with a belt. |
You didn't answer the question. How much of the concrete did you damage? |
OP you really need to yank that stick out |
So you got the shot kicked out of you by dad when you were a child. That explains much. |
Call the county to report. Prepare for eyerolling |
I'm confused. Do people think repairing the sidewalk is free? It's public property. If someone had gone out there with a can of spray paint and painted graffiti all over it, people would have been up in arms. But why is it okay if it's wet cement. Why is this okay? |
I sure am. I was maybe 11, 12? |
