Sorry bud, I had work and don’t sit here all day, not saying that you do. I’m not the same person that responded with a similar comment. All I was saying was that at this point in the game it may be late for either ccl or lmvsc to make a change. I do think that the club needs to re-evaluate where they participate depending on how their teams do and membership growth/decline.

you went from responding every 30 minutes to ten hours later. maybe you did but i’m skeptical of anybody that could defend the club. main reason is, there’s still plenty of time for both us to leave CCL or CCL to drop us. later summer, we didn’t leave CCL2 until last moment possible. the league hasn’t formalized anything yet, including club involvement. it appears we do agree in general though, the club needs to figure things out.

the will be down in membership again, and will continue to struggle winning and/or getting kids to next level.

To be clear not all of those comments were mine. They do need to figure things out but I don't think leaving CCL is going to happen this year. It's just my opinion, I could be wrong but time will tell. I'm not 100% defending the club, just that I don't think they will leave this year.

fair enough. if they were, they wouldn’t tell us anyways. but i’ve been at the fields, and i have never counted to 30 when 06/05/04/03/02 girls are out there.

unfortunately those numbers have been low with most of the players in that age group really being made up of mostly one birth year.

really? because most clubs (CCL clubs) have multiple teams. just to recap you: there aren’t even 30 players showing up for five age groups; we don’t even have an 06 team. and we’ll probably have only one team for 07 and 08, IF they don’t have to merge. for 11v11 soccer, we should have at least 10 teams... we will end up with 4 or less

pp here. sorry if i am a little sensitive, but i am at my end of patience. they never indicated any of what is happening right now. this is not the right environment for players who are serious about getting recruited into college

You're in your right to be sensitive. I was just stating the fact that of the less than 30 most are in 1 age group. They should address it with families. I would like to hear their plan.

As a parent of the only white team for all these age groups, will DD be playing red if 2003 and 2004 are short? Or will 2005 red move up, and we get moved to red? We're happy in NCSL, soccer is just fun for us and I don't want to drive all over Virginia. Follow up to the townhall didn't address this at all.

Not sure how they would adjust but in my opinion it doesn’t make sense to have 05 red go up an age group. If anything you would want that team to be able to compete well within their age group. I do think there are some players that can play 04 but it’s probably best to keep them within age group and have the 05 white players fill in where they can.

If 05 red don't move up an age group, they better not move 05 white up an age group and color level. Most of us are just happy with being white team, playing our league.

And maybe they won’t. Maybe they’ll have 05 red and white. 04 & 03s could merge as one.

if JN wanted me to believe that, JN would’ve said that. but i was told everybody has a problem, wait and see. sure, every club might but i’ve been to a different club’s tryout and they didn’t have anywhere near the problem. also, merger was never discussed during forums so it better not happen without telling us their plan first.

I completely agree regarding needing communication. I was the one that mentioned possible merging and have no concrete idea if that is the case. It was just a thought.

I don’t recall anything about a merger. I was told everybody is hurting, but that apparently isn’t the complete truth.

Again I have no knowledge of such but when I mentioned merger it was of the 03/04 team together not with another club.

Yes, that is what I am referring to as well. But I don’t recall hearing that. I remember hearing everybody lost players, 20% less, etc. But I don’t know if that is accurate, I think some may have loss less but I fear we loss a little more than 20%.
