Wow Lori Laughlin has NO shame!

They clearly got these sweetheart deals because they started winning on some of the legal issues (e.g., uncovered evidence that the prosecutors had withheld exculpatory evidence). They are morally guilty, but there is some question as to what they're legally guilty of/whether they'd be able to convince a jury that they though USC knew/might have known; when you add that to the prosecutor's ethically questionable conduct, this plea deal is in the public's best interest, however annoying.

They make a call and mention that they are an alumni and need to get their nephew in who is dumber than a doorknob. He gets in and they do not donate a penny. At least Lori made a nice donation. This kind of shit has been going on for years and they are not doing time and not paying fines. No community service either. No one says shit to them. I don’t think what Lori did was right but just make her pay a fine and call it a day. Aunt Becky is not a criminal. It is a waste of time and money to lock her up when thousands of others are not celebrities and do the same thing. The government is a joke and the government employees that are exploiting this family are wastes of space.

It appears the justice system disagrees with you. She is 1000% guilty of what she pled to and more. The fact that other people may or may not have committed some level of similar crimes does not make her less guilty. How can you not see this is so illogical? So someone who murders, rapes, steals, defrauds, cheats should never be held accountable because other people have done it and not been caught. How stupid are you?

This last poster definitely is a government employee. These people just wanted to get their kids into a good school not raping and murdering.

The idiots in the government are making an example of her because she is a celebrity. She is not a dangerous criminal and the hype over this whole case is outrageous.

People with connections get their kids in all the time with a phone call and now the idiots in the government are first waking up to this!!! BULLSH1T! It's laughable. It will continue to go on and they
can't catch everybody and they know it. There are too many people doing this. So they make a huge example over poor Lori and her tan little hubby. It is so fricking obvi they are using these people as an example. I feel sorry for them. Much more sinister people do this - for college and grad school.

Wake up. They are leading the public on a little parade to believe these are horrible people and I'm not buying it! I think the government is horrible and they need to set these tan celebrities free. Let them go back to shopping, brunch, getting mani pedis, and planning fun vacays. They will probably do time at home anyways due to corona. Make them write a check and send them on their way. Enough already.

Take your meds, FFS. I'm a sellout in a corporate raider money making industry and I think you have your moral compass skewed.

I don't take any meds except Tylenol when I have a headache from a$$holes like you.

I can't tell you to take your meds because I know you are beyond help and therapy combined!

You're welcome.

You seem emotionally invested n this case. Why is that?

The ding to her reputation is greater than the jail time. I agree she should serve some jail time, but she’s paying for this for years to come.

I don’t think it is that big of a deal. Very pompous stuck up families with the stupid kid do this all the time. They are making an example of Lori because she is famous. She seems like a nice person with a cute family. The government is disgusting. They go after people and companies just because it is their job. They do not care about the reality of situations or how it is pretty arbitrary when analyzed different ways that the person or corporation should not actually have to pay a fine. There are thousands of people that do what Lori did and no one gets fines or prison time. It’s amusing to me at how now they are first waking up and pushing it all on these poor people. Huh? Where was the government all along when this was going down?

With her money, what does she care?

I think this is a lot less common than people think.

Won't some outlets be more interested in her because people will tune in because of her notoriety. She was already doing Hallmark stuff.

Agree, this is far reaching. I think she should do a year at least, a few extra months for her arrogance alone. But will she work again? Doubt it.

Nope because her image for Hallmark was 'Holier than thou Christian woman who can do no wrong'.

She was the queen of the Hallmark Christmas/family genre. No more. They can't have a leading lady who's a felon.

When Calls The Heart re-shot the entire 2019 season and cancelled an episode just to edit her out.
