I doubt he will get any prison time.
No priors. Non violent. President's son.

You could’ve stopped after nonviolent. I’ll add clean and sober for sometime now.

But MAGA Will threaten violence so I’m sure he’ll get maximum time.

Being the president's son is an important consideration. He has SS detail.
How would that work if he were imprisoned?
And, your last comment is just nasty and totally not true.

It was all rigged,
Completely rigged by Crooked Joe.
But did you notice something?
Didya notice something?

They found me guilty,
But they found Huntahguilty.
Didya notice that?
I’m guilty, but somehow Huntah is guilty.

It was rigged,
Completely rigged by Crooked Joe.

And I think it’s disgusting.

Agree.

Total liberal and I sort of feel sorry for him (loss of his mom/sister as a kid, followed by living in the shadow of the golden child) but he is pretty clearly getting what he deserves.

I don't feel sorry for Hunter, but I do feel sorry for the people who love him, especially his dad, to whom this will be a big blow given all his personal losses. I'm sure MAGA will revel in that pain.

Why do you feel bad for his dad? He is clearly the product of an upbringing where bad behavior gets indulged and no limits or consequences are ever enforced.

David Weiss specifically said that after the plea deal he received death threats. That’s why it was pulled back. Sorry you don’t like it but we had January 6. We all saw before our eyes. We also saw what happened in Michigan and numerous other counts of political violence from maga. Violence is now normalized by the right. Actually strike that it’s encouraged.

Cue “ Portland” in 3, 2, 1…

Good.

Now MAGA cannot argue there is judicial bias.

What's the deal with the tax case? I thought he already paid back everything he owed....so why would be tried for taxes?

It’s only through his dad’s status and political influence that Hunter has avoided prison his entire life up to this point. Hunter has been unconditionally supported by his entire family and had multiple chances to go to the best rehab facilities and get the help he needed.

Families have deaths and addictions; the Bidens are not rare. Very few people revel in the pain of others. People understand how things like this can happen. It’s nuts that Hunter wrote an entire book describing his life and the FBI testified the laptop was Hunter’s laptop and authentic, and you are blaming other people for this situation. That’s probably why Hunter has never recovered, because everyone made excuses for him. He’s in his 50s, it’s not like he’s 22 and never had support. This guy has been blessed with things many people in his situation will never have.

MAGA can always find away to be aggrieved. What a bunch of whiners.

Because MAGA demands it.

Yet no one was arrested? That’s very strange. So many people are calling and threatening violence yet they get away with it. Why is that?

Perhaps if you lost several loved ones, including two children, you would have more compassion. Who knows how you or I would raise our kids if we lost one already--or how fiercely we would support our remaining son.

I’m definitely not voting for Hunter Biden now!
