Agree.

Total liberal and I sort of feel sorry for him (loss of his mom/sister as a kid, followed by living in the shadow of the golden child) but he is pretty clearly getting what he deserves.

I don't feel sorry for Hunter, but I do feel sorry for the people who love him, especially his dad, to whom this will be a big blow given all his personal losses. I'm sure MAGA will revel in that pain.

It’s only through his dad’s status and political influence that Hunter has avoided prison his entire life up to this point. Hunter has been unconditionally supported by his entire family and had multiple chances to go to the best rehab facilities and get the help he needed.

Families have deaths and addictions; the Bidens are not rare. Very few people revel in the pain of others. People understand how things like this can happen. It’s nuts that Hunter wrote an entire book describing his life and the FBI testified the laptop was Hunter’s laptop and authentic, and you are blaming other people for this situation. That’s probably why Hunter has never recovered, because everyone made excuses for him. He’s in his 50s, it’s not like he’s 22 and never had support. This guy has been blessed with things many people in his situation will never have.

None of that makes Biden love his son and fear for him any less.

He actually didn't pay back all of them. The statute of limitations expired on the biggest tax bill that were never paid from 2014 and 2015.
But, my understanding is that even though he paid his taxes, he lied pretty severely on the tax forms. Just because you finally pay what you owe, that doesn't mean you don't suffer consequences for the crimes you commit along the way.

Why do you feel bad for his dad? He is clearly the product of an upbringing where bad behavior gets indulged and no limits or consequences are ever enforced.

Hunter’s brother Beau was basically perfect, so clearly upbringing had nothing to do with Hunter’s bad decisions.

Perhaps if you lost several loved ones, including two children, you would have more compassion. Who knows how you or I would raise our kids if we lost one already--or how fiercely we would support our remaining son.

Supporting your son is what everyone should do. But that doesn’t mean son should not be subject to the same laws we all are. Supporting someone by being mad they receive normal consequences is called enabling. That’s different from supporting.

And nobody here thinks that is a bad thing. Parents should always support their kids. But Hunter still has to follow our laws.

Why wasn't Dr Jill (not a doctor) not in the courtroom during the reading of the verdict? Simple, she can't influence anymore...

Biden guilty. Say it ain't so.

Also the FBI confirmed the laptop belonged to Hunter and evidence from the laptop was used at the trial. That means the FBI confirmed the stuff on the laptop belonged to Hunter and was not tampered with.

Mad respect for Hunter. It only took an insane amount of time for a slam dunk case. Now can we get Joe on the classified docs found in his home while he was a senator. Or the the Epstein client?

If you don’t think privilege is a thing - specifically regarding race, power, and class - take a look at Melissa Cohen-Biden and consider that a woman that looks like that married a crackhead who frequented prostitutes and is probably riddled with STDs.

The average person just document themselves smoking crack and getting hookers their entire life on their own laptop and wake up at 50+ years rich and with a beautiful wife. It’s sickening how much privilege let’s you get away with things that would land the average person in prison for life or worse.

So why did all those people say it was “russian disinformation?”

Hunter Biden story is Russian disinformation, dozens of former intel officials say.

John McLaughlin cited Politico, 10/20

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/10/19/hunter-biden-story-russian-disinfo-4302…

“More than 50 former senior intelligence officials have signed on to a letter outlining their belief that the recent disclosure of emails allegedly belonging to Joe Biden’s son “has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.”

That was a huge lie.

Who is mad? At least, publicly?
