There must be another car involved. Public transportation too far away; not plausible they would take it. Or do 2 guys leave in Porsche and one gets dropped off at metro? Why would they do that?

In my opinion, Porsche was taken to church parking lot at 1:30. Perp goes home, showers, etc. Then comes back to torch it at 5:30.

Very plausible idea about the Porsche being left in the church parking lot while Wint went to get himself cleaned up at 1:30. He was taking a huge risk that no one would notice the car and link it with the house fire, but maybe that lot is pretty empty during the week.

Not sure if everyone knows that Wint has also stabbed three other people. I can't help wondering if he stabbed or killed somebody else after leaving the Savopolous house, and set fire to destroy evidence.

Story airs tonight on ABC I had no idea..all this and he was still walking freely and served how many months?? This is just crazy.. He should never have been out of prison or in this country!! Because they were not killed!! Why didn't Ficker make a statement on this??

Who ever was the Lawyer and Judge are responsible for what happen to the Savvas Family and Vera!!! It is their fault he was on the streets of Maryland..and still on USA Soil

According to Babcock, Wint and his girlfriend were visiting Babcock’s female cousin’s house and refused to leave. When Babcock and a male cousin walked up to her house to help remove Wint, Babcock said they got into a confrontation before parting ways. It was while Babcock and his cousin were returning back to his house, Babcock says, that they were ambushed and Wint suddenly attacked them.

“Daron had come out and was wind milling with the knives... he stabbed me in the wrist, and then he took off,” said Babcock. “There was slices on my shirt and on my chest and my stomach where I didn’t even know he had cut me. I thought he just had stabbed me in my wrist, but I guess he was trying to stab me other times.”

Wint was arrested, charged with third degree assault and ordered to stay away from Babcock. But six months later in June 2007, ahead of his court date, Wint ambushed Babcock and his girlfriend a second time on a bridge.

“He approached my girlfriend, and he had her by the throat. He grabbed her, and I came and I pushed him off of her,” Babcock recalled. “He came after me, and I didn’t see the knife this time ‘cause it was really small. He had the knife cupped in his hand, and he swung and caught me in the neck right here.”

it would be public record..but you may need to go into the courts website..Maryland NY and DC??? Oh bet there is a few also

Yes, but I mean listed in a newspaper article. Maybe the Washington Post would consider that info to be important?

Could you email whichever reporter has been covering the case so far and suggest it?
I'd love to read it myself.

One would think that Washington Post reporters would not need a suggestion to report such information.

It appears that the father was strangled, beaten, and burned. Awful.

Really? I still have number of husband for former nanny. Maybe you don't live that way, but others do.

Pretty high executive with dealings with so many people. He has a driver, a few administrative assistants, etc. He prob doesn't have time to make a lot of calls on his own - his assistants, secretaries, and wife would have the numbers of people like this. So I don't think he would have use for *one of* his housekeeper's husband's number in his phone. *Maybe* his number for the housekeeper's but probably not even that, because if he needed her, his wife would make the call or give him the number to call or call the other housekeeper.

And stabbed as well.
Any criminal profilers out there? Why did Wint use such overkill?
Or could that be another indicator of more than one killer: they were taking turns?

So sickening, pardon me for thinking of it.
May the victims rest in peace.

You think it is sickening to think about it. Imagine how the jurors will feel when he goes to trial as they are shown evidence photos.

What kind of family raises a monster like this, and then supports him when they know what kind of person he is? Disgusting. I bet the apple doesn't fall far from the tree where Wint is concerned; hope LE is looking carefully there.

Where do you see evidence of their supporting him?

Seriously? How about them talking to that joke of an attorney, claiming it couldn't be him because he doesn't like pizza, letting him hang out with them at their home even after multiple instances of him STABBING other people and threatening their lives, participating in his defense now. I'd call that pretty good evidence. And it speaks to their character and motivation.
