Nope. I've been tempted to enter the code for cheaper apples instead of the more $ ones and then I think to myself that that's just silly and not that big a difference. |
No way. If anyone is going to get caught, it will be me! |
I actually feel a bigger sense of responsibility at the self checkout. For example, if I'm using a cashier and the cashier makes a mistake, I may not say anything. But at the self checkout, I do my absolute best to get it right. |

No but I have been sorely tempted to not ring something up when an item that is supposed to be on sale doesn't ring up as on sale and I don't want the hassle of flagging down a store employee to straighten it all out. |
I don't.
I don't shop lift ever. Never wanted to, although I'm black and have been wrongly accused of it and followed around stores by racist employees. |

Occasionally I pay for 2 plastic bags (Montgomery County), then realize as I'm bagging that it would work better with 3 and just go ahead and take it without paying, because it's too much hassle for 5 cents. So, technically, yes? Never with actual merchandise or food, though. |
It would never occur to me. |
Admittedly, I did this a couple of times in grad school. I paid for the apples or oranges, but if a different kind were on sale, I'd punch in the cheaper code. I don't do that now at all, and definitely don't outright not pay for something. Paying sale price for Pink Lady, instead of regular price for Gala, is the closest I've ever come to stealing in my life. Not proud of it, but... it's relatively minor. |
Sometimes I don't pay for bags. But I pay for all my food properly. |
No but I avoid the self checkout lanes because it is too time consuming when I can't find a code or the machine gets confused. I think if regular checkout weren't an option I might get tempted just to avoid then hassle of waiting when there is a problem. Or just rounding or adding a substitute item and calling it a day. |
Wut? NO! |
