I'd never buy another Nissan again!

Car sucks, customer service sucks, dealer sucks!!! I love Japanese cars but Nissan is a piece of junk! Stay with Honda, Toyota, or Subaru!!

A close friend bought a Nissan Murano. She had nothing but issues with the thing. The entire dashboard ended up going. Before that she'd had a Subaru for years and years.

+1 What is the demographic? I view Toyotas and Hondas as sort of the cars for "everyone". Subaru I know caters to perhaps a more "outdoorsy" bunch. But who is Nissan's demographic?

VWs are known to have issues. They aren't Japanese and don't have the same expectation of reliability.

Interestingly, I find that VW and Nissan owners tend to be repeat buyers even if their earlier models have been trouble for them. And the VW owners are like pit bull owners in their enthusiasm for their dumb cars.

I have a honda pilot (love it btw) but when we were "3rd row suv" shopping I really fell in love with the pathfinder. I mentioned it to family and friends casually and EVERYONE told me they hated, hated, hated their nissan. I was really bummed because I loved the pathfinder and really wanted one. I decided not to tune out everyone and just go with Honda again (have owned them before and always gotten 200k miles on them) but when I see a pathfinder I'm still kinda jealous!

trust me. it's a good thing you listened to them... you can't go wrong with the other 4 japanese brands though - honda, toyota, mazda, and subaru.

I would also like to know this. My husband and I were discussing this just the other day because we don't know anyone with a Nissan. Who buys them? And does Mitsubishi even make cars anymore?
