While I share some of your questions, I disagree on this one. Late night monument viewing is kind of a thing. We did it on my 8th grade school trip to DC.

Doing it in December when you've lived here for 4 years and posting not very great pictures about it is pretty weird, though.

It did just line up but now that I see it, looks pretty whacked

This whole lot of women makes me puke and this one is no victim, she is extremely complicit.

That said, this outfit 100% works, I don't think the pants are too short and the plaid pumps are the perfect way to "holiday" this in an unexpected way.

The pants are too short. I'm keeping the temp down although sitting and working makes me chilly and my ankles are cold (socks and slippers and long pants) and seeing her makes them colder.

In the top pick the sizes of people are so bizarre--that girl to Mel's left is so tall, they all look like they were cut out of different pics and pasted on the same page

I disagree that it should be above the shoulder, I think if she cut her hair to where that first layer falls then it would be absolutely gorgeous, it would be long but not "LA extensions" long. She needed a better product for this, it was probably dry/hot under lights.

Agree. That first layer is more than enough length. Beyond that it's obviously LA extension territory and laughable.

I think the first layer is still too long. She has a long narrow face and needs a much shorter cut.
