Yes. His son is autistic too. I think it was discussed in season 1?

We have never seen Tom betray his wife before in favor of Logan. Tom has also seen Logan eff over his business associates and children time after time before (kick a dog to see if it will come back) so his move here is not really guaranteeing him any happiness or security.

I think he did it in part to get her respect, as messed up as that is. It also secures their/her position if they stay married, while Roman and Kendall are just as effed as they were before.

I assumed the daughter was adopted and the son was biological.

But I’m curious what would happen if she divorced him because of this? Started just out right cheating on him and disrespecting him?

I hadn’t considered the possibility that Tom did this in part to protect Shiv in the company. Not sure that’s realistic since burning Shiv here was a big blow to her with Logan. I thought this was more self interest with a side of either evening out their power dynamic or getting rid of their marriage altogether and “replacing” her with Greg.

At first I had a lot of respect for Tom after this because I thought he was owning his betrayal in front of Shiv. But rewatching the scene, he doesn’t see her see Logan thank him and he goes over to comfort her as though he had no part in her betrayal, and she keeps the knowledge to herself for now. So maybe he plans to go on with the marriage with her hobbled at the company — maybe that’s what he wanted for power balance, and not a total explosion of their relationship. Though one would guess that’s coming.

I just “got” the dog piece in monopoly reference — Tom is such a dog character and is the dog that Logan can kick and kick and will keep coming back. Although he did NOT allow Shiv to keep kicking him and eventually fought back by betraying her to Logan, so maybe he is not as much a f a dog/punching bag after all.

For someone so rich she dresses so poorly.

I’ve like most of her recent dresses but not this one. So unflattering with shapewear clearly visible.

I thought the dress was beautifu, just not sure why the stylist didn't put her in one size larger and then tailor it to fit perfectly. It was pulling so tight across her.

Rewatching it now. When Logan and Roman were at Mattson’s and Mattson pitches the takeover which Logan rejects, he then offers for Logan to stick around and talk other options. It’s amazing, Mattson looks straight at Logan and gestures just with his eyes to Roman. Logan immediately gets it and proceeds to tell Roman to go back. Awesome acting and so subtle!

This season that’s true. It’s almost like they’re trying to make her look horrible. In last seasons she looked very sharp and well dressed a la corporate boss lady style, but fashionable nonetheless.

I thought it might be intentional. I noticed that Gerri looks frazzled too. At times Kendall and Roman have looked disheveled.

You are watching this show twice? Dude, it is not that deep.

The Tom thing was telegraphed all season. The writing is not smart, it’s amateur and vapid. Take away the ritzy locations and cuts of helicopters and black sedans and this is a daytime soap opera.

A vapid show targeting vapid viewers. Viewers who sound like Q-anon nuts hyper-analyzing every scene and line. The over the top fandom is funnier than the show.

And yet you return daily to comment. Sad.

I think he did it as a power reversal. He knows he’s not getting out of this marriage. His best bet is for him to be the power player. He is replacing Shiv with Greg-as his confidante, planner, and partner at Waystar.

I meant that episode in particular, but yes, I’ve watched it twice. So what?

I usually watch each episode twice as well. It’s hard to catch everything the first time. So what???
