At first I had a lot of respect for Tom after this because I thought he was owning his betrayal in front of Shiv. But rewatching the scene, he doesn’t see her see Logan thank him and he goes over to comfort her as though he had no part in her betrayal, and she keeps the knowledge to herself for now. So maybe he plans to go on with the marriage with her hobbled at the company — maybe that’s what he wanted for power balance, and not a total explosion of their relationship. Though one would guess that’s coming.

I just “got” the dog piece in monopoly reference — Tom is such a dog character and is the dog that Logan can kick and kick and will keep coming back.  Although he did NOT allow Shiv to keep kicking him and eventually fought back by betraying her to Logan, so maybe he is not as much a f a dog/punching bag after all. [/quote]
