No ECNL for FCV or Tophat this year. Just announced.

You are a day late with this. |
What facility? our practices have been getting cancelled. We don’t get to use the turf. |
| FCV should join ECNL-RL and hope to move up. |
This was already discussed. They were and got kicked out for playing teams up |
|
The TSJ purchase is looking more and more like a lame duck. It never made much sense to begin with and now a couple of years into it there has been no observable synergy. Outside of new uniforms the teams don't get to really use the facility to it's advantages, either in field house or strength and conditioning.
The ownership of a soccer club just begs the question, “why”? New ownership has likely handcuffed the club from making moves like potential mergers to difficult. |
ECNL R is the Virginia NPL. You need boys and girls teams to play in it and FCV withdrew because of the weak boys program and getting beat 2 digits every time. If FCV would not have withdrawn they probably would have been kicked out for the stated reason but regional league definitely not an option for FCV teams. |
yea sad. |
They also did not field a team in every age group on game days. They would let their opponent know during the week that they would be missing age groups. |

Hope is not a stratagy |
Does anyone think BRYC has capital to buy another club? Maybe they should IPO for funds to do this? Lol. |
| Let’s stop. Not happening. |
“Why buy what you can steal”. They don’t need to. It won’t happen overnight, but players will chose other clubs versus FCV. Top players in age groups will gravitate to ECNL clubs. Some will go to Loudoun. Some to VDA. Some to BRYC. This board is full of the crazies. But most parents will position their kids in a club that is girls ECNL to ensure they are getting proper exposure. Sure, kids will sign with colleges outside of ECNL - that will always occur. But on par, ECNL will be the destination. And yes, some players who may not be as good will sign from ECNL vs non affiliated clubs just because of that exposure. The reality is, you have a better shot in the pipeline that out of it. And even if the goal is a better education via soccer - ECNL is the best avenue for girls. |
