Any insight or thoughts on which way the administrators are leaning for high school soccer in MD and DC for this Fall?

How are my KL peeps doing? Is he a keeper, or club kicks him to the curb?

In my experience this is not true. In fact I've seen the exact opposite happen over and over again.

Well let’s remember they(travel soccer) are looking for the best player at each age group. By u16 they are not looking to develop any players because what does it matter. The players use to the club is done at u17. This is the age where soccer IQ really starts to play a big part but the club is petty much done with you at that age. The selection process is governed by which players will give me wins this year in this age group. If a kid is not picked for the top team by a club that kid is labeled as a 2nd team kid at that club.

If you are on a second team or riding the bench on the first team you are going to stay there unless you switch clubs. This is why is good to have more “elite” leagues vs less.

This is definitely not true at all programs. Kids continue to develop at this age - and good programs monitor kids' performance throughout the season and reward players who are working harder/improving/playing better. I'm seeing this every week on my DS' U16 team right now.

What type of playing style does BSC U13 Girl’s ENCL team play? Do they typically play possession style or kick/run? Also, do they prefer big/fast kids or they like to recruit average sized girls with good foot skills? Due to COVID, I’m not able to watch their games to find out. Thank you.

It is true x10 for Arlington. In fact, they'll promise a spot on the top team to a player that is not as good as a player already on their 2nd team just to get him/her in the club. Then ultimately move that new player down to the appropriate level in subsequent years. I've seen that happen over and over again.

Possession style. Average to small sized girls with excellent foot skills. Same for their U12 Girls Pre-ECNL. Both teams will be dominant in the years to come.
