Tyson’s and Reston. Pretty easy to get to from MD, Fairfax, and Loudoun. Players commute from these areas already. It’s really nothing at all like sitting in a jammed 495 (or paying $20 one way) trying to get to the mixing bowl area at rush hour.

Nice try though!!

I don’t know how good MU’s current 2008G team is but if they are able to get at least get a half dozen of these new girls to join, they will be pretty good. Some of these girls currently plays for BSC, Potomac, MSI and GFR. At least at the Rockville ID session, they had some fast/strong girls and some very technical girls too. I overheard some parents mentioning about carpooling to practices at Tyson’s so it’s not too bad for them.

You think Tysons is easy to get to during rush hour from Maryland? Do you realize how long it takes to sit on the beltway on the American legion bridge or deal with 270?

Why calm down? I wasn’t excited by any means. I only said if MU is able to recruit 6 girls from all of their ID sessions, they would be a pretty good team.

Your concern for their commute is touching.

For a female player in MoCo, the 3 closest options for a DA are Balt.Armour(Columbia), Arlington, or Metro. I don't think there's a clear winner when it comes to commuting time to any of them.

I sure do. There have been parents who have been doing it for a few years and it takes them 20-30 minutes, no tolls.

Next?

And the dumbest post of the new year award goes to ^^^^^^

20-30 minutes from Rockville to Tysons in Rush Hour. I just fell out of my chair. That may happen once a year. 45+ is more realistic.

Still 30 minutes closer than the TSJ is at rush hour.

Any ideas as to when MU will notify the parents if their DD made the team or not?
