| Harry and I are friends, we both ordered our licenses from the Nigerian telemarketer at the same time. It's a real license certified by the Nigerian Soccer Federation of New Jersey. |
Off topic from SYC, but I am curious:: What was the impetus for the merger offer? Field space? |
| Question for SYC parents. How do you feel about all the teams coming over to replace your current top teams? |
Thrilled. Our players will be able to stay together on the orange and white teams. Plus, its makes tryouts less stressful since we know where players will be placed. I'm really thankful I'll have a simple answer for my DD when she asks why she didn't make the blue team. |
| Just curious... when SYC offers spots, do they tell you what team you will be on? |
In the past they have. |
I am fine with it. I want my child challenged by other players and if she is able to make the first team then great. If not it needs to motivate her to work harder. I don’t want her to be given anything and I want her to value the hard work and dedication that needs to be put in to compete at a higher level. Also if she has the chance to practice with those players she will only get better. |
Based on how the coaches coming over did at LMVSC, I wouldn't hold my breath that 2nd and 3rd team players will practice with 1st teams. |
LMV didnt allow it. Doubt Este would allow it now. Plus what challenge would it give to the 1st team players? |
I called you a brat in the other thread, but really, you’re a tragic example of a kid who once had potential but unfortunately never got your bad habits corrected. You’re also an example of the shit club culture that exists at LMVSC and will now start to grow at SYC. |
After reading both threads this person seems like a insecure parent. Brat? The comment holds water 1st team players should push each other while if 2nd players sometimes have no desire to be at practice or are forced by parents then ruin it for others. True this is not EVERY 2nd or 3rd player in which case you can always get extra training to better your child, maybe one practice a week would be ok but you cant expect that every practice. |

I think that what LMV staff did and the way they have come over and brought whole teams with them is unethical. Worse, they continue to bash LMV even though they instigated many of the preferential practices that caused division and problems rather than sowing strong teams. Don't be fooled, The strong teams they are bringing doesn't reflect their coaching abilities, just the raw talent they chose to cherry pick and represent. I'm not sure why anyone wants coaches that act like 12yo boys. It's not enough to leave (on their own or fired) but the continued bashing of LMV around the area by these coaches hows you the quality of ethical and leadership you can come to expect.

Can you elaborate on what happened? Common folks don't have all the details. |
Which teams are full of recruited players? I have never known lmvsc to be a club players have flocked to? I recall one team having an influx of players one year but didn’t those players move to DA’s a couple years back? |
And yet you sound like you are sad that they have left. |
