| 15:55 makes me sick. |
Gaithersburg HS is hardly "way up 270". It's quite near to the northern part of Ritchie Park ES zone. In fact, that area is closer to Gaithersburg HS than its neighboring area zoned for Rosemont ES. |
| What?? It is nowhere near the "northern part" of the Ritchie Park zone. It's about 25 minutes up 270, at least, on a weekend. Just stop. |
I think you have the wrong school in mind...you are not describing Ritchie Park. |
|
Here is an idea.
Forget about this boundary issue. City has no control over this and that may or may not happen. City has full control over not allowing more apartments when school is already 120%. That's the current policy. There is no good reason to increase it. Everyone should simply rally around and testify. If you are concern then testify. If council members vote for increasing the limit then simply vote against them in the next election. Development at any cost shouldn't be allowed. Kids education is too high a price to pay for extra apartments. |
No, the northern part of College Gardens (King Farm) is relatively close to Gaithersburg HS, but still not as close as Rosemont. The northern part of RP (Fallsgrove neighborhood) is walking distance to Wootton, along with most of the RP zones, from the opposite direction. |
| We get it already. RM is overcrowded just like most of the high schools in the county. Congrats you one of many. |

Sure there is. People need a place to live. |
|
Not without supporting infrastructure. If we simply build it by ignoring everything else, then quality of life will drop drastically in RM cluster. Citizen in city need to decide what kind of city they want. They want balanced growth which keeps quality of life intact. or They want single minded focus on building apartments in RM cluster. |
Nah, you didn't get this discussion. RM is already overcrowded. Everyone knows that. Discussion is about City trying to make the situation even worse by lifting moratorium for new buildings. |
That seems like a terrible idea. |
There are PLENTY of places to live. Families may choose one of the hundreds of already empty apartments available at Twinbrook at RTC. Or, chose one of the many condos for sale in the cluster. |
