| Can we stop talking about specific high school students? The investigation will find out what needs to be found out. No need to put out personal info about kids on DCUM for all of google to see. Discuss policy, or grown-ups in charge, not individual students. |
Right right. Just so we all know, the hometown is accurate for private school kids but not accurate for public school transfers because the "Hometown" on the various sites are actually the location of their previous school. Mmmmmkay. Which brings me back to the twins who just transferred from Florida. Shouldn't their hometown be in Florida, since that is the location of their previous school, instead of District Heights, MD? |

The issue with the Mitchell twins is figuring out if they live in-boundary.
As it stands, you cannot attend Wilson unless you live in-boundary or attend a feeder school (Deal, Oyster-Adams or Hardy). However, the feeder aspect doesn't work for high school transfers, only going from 8th to 9th grade. They don't accept any kids out of boundary due to being overcrowded. So the issue is that these kids transfer back to the DC area and now all of a sudden live in Wilson's school zone, the most expensive school zone in DC, when they previously lived in Ward 7 the majority of their lives. And other players who transferred to Wilson in high school are being investigated as well. |
Sounds like your issue is with whoever gathers the data for whatever site posted this information. |
