This is not an “unpopular pop culture opinion.” it is a standard Gen X opinion, one that I share. It was just on in the background while you were running the clock to get to Seinfeld and ER. lol. While I get there are Seinfeld haters, most people thought that was a winner.

I’m late GenX (within X-ennial range) and was in college when Friends started. It was crazy popular with college kids and 20-somethings, so I strongly disagree with your assessment.

Seinfeld was meh to me. I still watch Friends as background noise frequently.

My teen watches Friends with me and likes it.

I get that it doesn’t appeal to everyone and that their are problematic parts, but it was wildly popular with GenX as it aired.

This exactly. Taylor was never going to appeal to men. Her fan base is teen/tweens and their moms. Those people have money and spend it. But tween moms don't want a MAGA barbie to influence their daughters so she keeps that side of herself hidden. Does she like Trump? No. Does she like his policies? Yes.

Wuthering Heights was a crap book and I’m not sure why it gets so much adoration. It’s top of mind because of the new movie coming out.

Precious was one of the worst movies ever made, and it was like an Emperor’s New Clothes phenomenon happened in America when it came out.
