Uh huh, sure #11 BF dad, nice diversion, but we'll take your word for it. LOL Solid player tho, and added to the watch list. Is it me or are the BF parents really pumping up the whole team to be considered for POY? haha For their sake, I hope they win it all, cuz if not, implosion might be in the works.

- Madison Attacker
- BF Goalie, Mid, and Attacker
- Langley Mid and Attacker
- Oakton Attacker
- Woodson Mid and Attacker
- Robo Attacker
- Westfield Goalie
- Cosby Mid
- Chantilly Mid

Two Madison attack worth keeping an eye on if you're starting this early, a senior who has been great for her whole HS career, but also a freshman who had six goals this week vs. Robinson, including OT game winner, and I think leads the team in points. They are both a lot of fun to watch play.

For transparency, from a Madison parent but not of either of these two.

1) did the player score o ton of goals?

2) did the player have about a 60% save rate

Are these the only two factors that you look at when looking for a POY?

I am not criticizing and I’m not saying these players aren’t worth it and I’m not saying that these two factors aren’t important. Are there any other factors that would make a player stand out?

Asking for a Robinson parent

I think people would probably consider assists and maybe draw win%, but unfortunately lacrosse hasn’t really entered the world of advanced stats yet

Most rational people would also include (wait for it) - playing more than 2 games... Table this debate until at least halfway through season, otherwise it's meaningless... just list out every good player at every position for every team...

Kevin McGonigle for AL MVP.

you must be new to sports and marketing. many many samples of watchlists, pre-season all-america, etc. that helps the sport expand popularity and increase engagement

I agree and I'm not of fan of discussing individual players on this board.

Again, you're showing your inexperience about the sport and the lacrosse community. some of these "parents" on this board are actual coaches, former players/athletes, etc. and have been in the grind with their players/daughters throughout the process. Have you actually taken the time to see who the kids are being talked about? Some of these girls are committed to top lacrosse schools already. The last 3 POYs are all playing for JMU now. Agreed, that some are desperate for airtime, but easily disputed once you actually look at their film. But many actually know what they're talking about.

Must be nice to have 2 great goalies when most schools don't even have 1 good one.

Seems like BF dad(s) are just having conversations with themselves. Great job to every BF athlete, coach, and parent. Clearly the best team this year. Keep it up.

I want to agree with you, but I have never heard my daughter use the word rockstar or capitalize words in a sentence. That is a parent for sure.

Second goalie didn't even make it into the game against Madison, they must not be that close.
