Dems have a lot of people who are really good talkers - Buttigeig, Pritzker, Shapiro, Crockett - they are good at framing issues for the everyday American. One way or another we need to get a tiger team of folks like that to help reshape messaging for the Dems as a whole.

Harris will have the advantageous name recognition if running for CA Governor in 2026 would be the likely favorite. Unfortunately for her, Californian politicians aren't currently popular outside of California so CA Governor will be her ceiling until that dynamic changes.

Democrats never renominate someone who ran and lost. Historically speaking, that's the pattern.

I guess that eliminates Tim Kaine who was HRC’s VP pick. He is actually quite qualified to run for president.

Will replace the Democrat party

We don’t have the culture/concern for the well being of others in this country for Democratic Socialism to work. Plus, we’re just too big. It works in some European countries because their populations are a fraction of the US population and mostly one people with a shared history (plus as in Scandinavia, small immigrant populations).

And we’re still too Calvinist— “you deserve xyz because you work hard. And no, YOU over there don’t deserve a free bus ride a la Mamdani because I pay more in taxes and don’t feel like paying for those who don’t work/pay taxes or even go to school to ride the bus for free.

If we can’t agree on free bus fare, forget free tuition, free healthcare, free daycare, UBI…

Unless we can agree everyone deserves a free bus ride, Democratic Socialism will fail here.

True and it's also not wise to nominate someone who is/was VP of a very unpopular president which is mistake made twice by Dems with Mondale and Harris although there was little choice in 2024 with the very late Biden campaign collapse.
