I think you meant it’s totally uncommon. Not a single current BOE or council member has taken that approach. If I were her I’d want to hide my views too.

Because it’s the only race with an African American incumbent. Isn’t it a little interesting that she chose this race? She could have just as easily have run for Harris’s seat. But Stewart targeted Evans. I wonder why.

She would never run against her MCCPTA bestie

Stewart filed her candidacy well before Evans did. Many people here thought Evans wasn't running again.

Elrich has two accounts - one pre-executive, and one for his official position

Monique Aston (Rockville Mayor/MML President) - two accounts (her personal account is under her maiden name)

It's not uncommon. I'm sure there are more, but I don't care to look it up.

Good for them but with the crazies who post here even I can understand why they might want to make it private out a concern for their personal saftety.

All those personal accounts are public. The uncommon part is that she’s locked her account to hide her past statements.

Evans filed in plenty of time for Stewart to re-file if she hadn’t been determined to challenge Evans.

What's wrong with challenging a two-term board member? Especially given the state of MCPS over those years.

Somehow, Shebra Evans is all to blame for the state of MCPS but you won’t hear Laura Stewart say anything bad about Lynne Harris. I wonder why

For one thing, Evans has been there twice as long as Harris, and was the board president for two of her eight years. She and her followers should be coming forward to explain the reasons people should vote for her to have a third term.

Funny how earlier in the thread Stewart thought Evans wasn’t running so she wasn’t challenging her but when BS was called now Stewart is challenging Evans. You all can’t keep your stories straight.

Funny how every time anyone asks for a positive reason to vote for Evans, there isn't one, there is only anti-Stewart trolling.

People on here acting like the BOE is congress where members write and sponsor bills that have their names attached to them. The “name one thing x member of the BOE has done” trope is getting old.

You mean the 2 years when as president she championed the county wide boundary analysis that the MCCPTA busy bodies like Laura Stewart loved so much? She had the guts to make sure the analysis was done in the face of fierce opposition. Stewart can’t even stomach the idea of people reading her old tweets.
