Kate Middleton in Hospital - Recovering from Surgery

There is no way she would do this at the beginning of the year when they had so many engagements lined up including a big trip to Rome — all of which now have to be postponed or cancelled.

I had extensive GYN surgery (hysterectomy, bladder sling, bowel sling, mesh all around, repair of scar tissue and adhesions from a prior surgery, etc. etc. Went to the OR TWICE in 12 hours (first surgery done and then surgeon realized she made a "mistake" due to my anatomy being wacky from a prior surgery and I went back to the OR later in the day) and I still went home the next day with ibuprofen only (given narcotics but did not take).

OMG. How are you now??

Team tummy tuck. She hasn’t been seen in a bathing suit in years.

I had a lower facelift in an hour and was home in 3 hours. Walked out on my own with just a wrap around chin/head. I told kids I had wisdom teeth out.

In days the swelling was almost unnoticeable and just minor bruising easily covered with make up. I was back at work in a week.

She is not getting a damn facelift and she is already so,, so thin she ain’t getting liposuction or anything like that.

This is a serious medical issue obviously.

I also had it. It doesn’t lead to surgery. However, it could be a sign that she had an overarching digestive disorder like gastroparesis that led to the HG symptoms.

There’s nothing to tuck.

I also had this. I am now having esophageal and tooth enamel issues.

this is not it. Her clothes look fine on her. The RF eschews plastic surgery.

And if it were plastic surgery, it would have been done while they’re “on vacation.” Announcing she’s in the hospital draws too much attention.

I’ll be interested to see if she does get plastic surgery at some point. Neither Camilla nor Anne did.

I doubt this would be the surgery itself but perhaps a complication. And LOL at the RF eschews plastic surgery Camila has had quite obvious dental cosmetic surgery before she married Charles.

The conspiracy loons are really out in full force in this thread

I mean is it a “conspiracy” to think that something can’t simultaneously be a nbd, planned surgery and require two weeks in hopsital stay followed by months of recovery? The statement itself is clearly BS

The official statement didn't say this was NBD.

Do you need glasses? Where is the loose skin?

All of these tummy tuck/plastic surgery/loose skin people are delusional! I’m not a huge fan of the royal family, but she is one of the most slim attractive royals there is. And good Lord she would not be spending 10 to 14 days for plastic surgery recovery she would be off on vacation somewhere. Obviously, there is something serious going on that requires monitoring for that long.

He’s next in line for the throne, so you’d think it would have been a good opportunity for him to act as official/unofficial leader of the firm while his father is out. They have a full staff that can handle everything at home, so it would probably be good to have at least one senior Royal out doing royal things.

I guess either Kate’s situation is way worse than we know, or William just took it as an excuse to do less.

Staff are not the same as parents . Especially if the kids are upset about their mom’s absence.

This is 2024. Let’s hope that modern royals are actually close to their young children.

The kids are all in school, so he could still be hands-on in their eyes while not having to worry about household chores. He could very easily drop them off, heli to London, check on Kate, then do a quick charity appearance (they usually last 30 mins) before heli back to pick up the kids from school and be with them the rest of the day. Single parents do more and are still there for their kids.

The royal family’s approval rating has been slipping since the Queen died, and many have already called out William for his lack of commitment to the job. It could have been an opportunity to change the narrative.

I do not blame him for taking time off while she is in the hospital for something major. Most of us would do that, if we could. But he should return to his duties once she returns home.
