This. It's ego protection for many of them at this point. |
And they ignorantly toss about words like "hearsay" as if they understand the word, while proving they don't as they utter it. |
They don’t have to admit it. They just need to stop actively supporting and defending it. Many are. |
She is under oath before the US House of Representatives. Maybe if others dispute her accounts, they will be willing to do the same. Until then, your conjecture is worthless. |
Yes, the pathetic little troll on here proves that the MAGA camp has no defense whatsoever. Their attacks that all witnesses are paid by the Democrats and that there is credible evidence they lied is... laughable. Come out with the sworn statements then! Where are the pay stubs?
Republican leadership is not laughing right now. The likes of Jim Jordan may be pretending to laugh on Twitter, but in reality, they're all consulting their lawyers on how to best avoid fallout, and how to pivot to DeSantis... Which for the Democrats isn't better. DeSantis is a right-wing Republican who plays hardball. Pretty formidable adversary and in many ways more competent than Trump. For the country, though, DeSantis is better than Trump, because he's not likely to need an aide purloining a signed order on the Oval Office desk, to prevent Trump's imminent threats to North Korea. Trump was incredibly dangerous. Our country was saved from numerous awful decisions just because White House staffers, by hook AND by crook, kept Trump from going over the guardrails. Another term might get us into WWIII. |
The committee’s job has become to prepare the American people for the idea of criminal prosecution.
More people are coming around to it. |
It always was. |
Yes indeed! |
Of course, Mitch knew. He is the wellspring of all evil in our government today. Everything leads back to Mitch. |
Hard to believe that he didn’t. But hard to believe that he intended to put his own life at risk. He must have been scared when his security carried him away from the mob. And his wife resigned that day. |
And this is why I ended every friendship with ppl who voted for Trump. I don't want stupid friends. How did they NOT see this coming. |
I agree that it is unlikely that trump will be prosecuted (though Italy’s democracy survived the burlesconi prosecution). What I do wonder though is about the conspirators around him. They’ve taken Eastman and Clark’s phones. I’m not a doj person but would imagine there would need to be good cause for that. I’m most interested in what meadows and cipelloni do. Executive privilege is not looking so strong and can it be used when a crime is involved? Lawyers are supposed to be officers of the court so I would think cipelloni needs to testify. |
DP. Eastman, Clark, Cippilone and Meadows. Which of these men were at the Willard on the 5th? That would connect some dots for me. |

I'm the PP and let me be clear, I don't think the motivation of Liz Cheney, Kinzinger, or Cassidy Hutchinson is purely transactional. I think they are also doing this because they believe it's the right thing to do. But I also don't believe it's happening in a vacuum. There's a person or people behind the scenes working on the people they can get to tell their stories to tell them. Cassidy Hutchinson didn't just switch lawyers on her own. |
