Only our RL players go to MLS1. Just look at Surf College Cup last weekend. Most MLS1 teams are at the bottom of the group.

This happened at the Copa Rayados Internacional in Houston last week as well. Poor performance by MLSN teams. Got beaten consistently by ECNL RL teams.

Maybe they were feeling down, thinking the entire platform would have to switch to SY. Now, watch out!

If you're talking about College only MLSN2 would have more connections than ECNL with college coaches from MLSN1 interactions with the Club DOC.

Totally different level of colleges targeting mlsn1 vs 2.

MLS2 has only been playing for a few months. Not sure they've been found to target yet.

You're missing the bigger picture and why there are a bunch of MLSN haters here, although there are certainly legit complaints/concerns and MLSN will be under the gun to make it all work. MLSN/GA is in a competitive battle with ECNL for the top end of Youth Soccer. MLSN2 isn't just 2nd teams. There were a bunch of solid USYS clubs who picked that vs. ECNL or ECRL. Many of those clubs are geared toward HS, so in that context, the decision for them to go SY makes a ton of sense. Those clubs don't necessarily do better under the ECNL system, especially while the other leagues fragment even more.

MLS2 only club just got screwed. It will be much harder for them to sell the pathway to MLS1 if their club can ever be promoted to it. You are talking about $25K a year with everything and parents are not stupid.
