You do know playing up to play with friends isn't an option in DMV so you comment isn't relevant.

Its not about "playing up to be with friends". Its Aug/Sept/etc birthdays playing on their correct grade in school team. You're not playing on a team where 90% of the players are a grade older or younger. Your playing on the team where 90% of the players are in your grade in school.

What this means is some Aug birthdays will need to play up to be on the correct grade in school team and others won't. It all depends on when their school district started school.
There story is about playing with friends. "He'd be on a worse team and not even be with the kids he knows."

Again, you try to turn everyone's comments into your own personal vendetta to try to shame August kids into feelimg guilty or pressure them to make a decision to hurt them but help you. It won't work in DMV, can't choose to play up.

There is no vendetta and Ive said the same thing for over a year. August birthdays play on their correct grade in school team.

Age guy wants to play down against younger players.
6 plus months of a campaign to change the rules to force August kids to play up to protect your Sept kid is a vendetta.

Nobody arguing for playing down, everyone telling you playing on age is what is happening, cade by case to play up based on skill.

Nobody is changing any of the rules.

SY was created so more playera could play on their correct grade in school teams.

You just want to play down against younger players.
Its not me arguing to get my Sept girl to play with younger kids, that's you.

Which level Aug Sept players play is determined by their grade in school.
Show the rules or move on. You are full of it.

Ive posted links to multiple clubs that have said exactly this and you complained to DCUM about it.

Heres a good one. Welcome to reality.

https://mnthunderacademy.org/age-group-change-2026-2027-season/

AND you have to apply to get into the higher age group by telling them you are in the older grade. Yes, they recommend it, but it's not mandatory. It's still case-by-case. You're feelings on this are skewing your view.

Yea a club thats literally tell you that they believe in players playing on their correct grade in school team will allow Aug birthdays to play down.

What are they going to do if you don't tell them OR apply? They're going to be flexible. They will try to convince the family to do that. In the end, if the player is talented, they won't anger the family and risk losing them.

They'll do what everyone does.

Once they figure out a player is misaligned they'll offer them a spot on a grade down B team or a correct grade in school B team.

We all know what parents will choose.

OR, they'll find an club like the Nationals and roster by age and showcase by grade.

That wont work because who pays for the showcase + league games?

Nobody wants older players playing down in games that you paid for.

They won't care as long as the club is doing right by them. If they're not, they'll leave. The club really just needs to help all their kids.

Its the same either way. Older level parents dont want younger players playing up on their kids team either.

Theres no way to make playing at the same level 2 times in a row work. Someone is getting screwed out of their opportunity by a play down.

Boy, it just didn't go your way if that is your best "proof" that there is an enforceable rule forcing grade year on Aug and Sept kids but nobody else. FYI, clubs don't set league rules.

Yup, forcing a kid up when they aren't ready is stealing their opportunity and giving it to another kid. It is obviously your kid get the opportunity as a Sept girl otherwise this wouldn't be your full time job to mislead others.

One player is stealing another players opportunity. Its that simple.

If you think it's zero-sum, then the Aug kid is the one losing out. Help them all -- if the players have earned it.

Boy, it just didn't go your way if that is your best "proof" that there is an enforceable rule forcing grade year on Aug and Sept kids but nobody else. FYI, clubs don't set league rules.

Clubs will group Aug birthdays by grade because it makes things easier for them and is in the players best interest when it comes time for college recruiting.

It's not easier for the kids involved. You lessen their chances to develop into an elite player. All for the convenience of others? That's wrong.

Except if that's their team all along and they play up on showcases at first. Go back and watch the video again.

Its the same either way. Older level parents dont want younger players playing up on their kids team either.

Theres no way to make playing at the same level 2 times in a row work. Someone is getting screwed out of their opportunity by a play down.
Not true. Other than MLSN1 biobanding playing down an age group is banned.

It's the club's job to help get them recruited. Parents need to get their monies worth. You're wrong to assume someone loses out just because of this. There are so many factors, including how these players actually play that are so much more important.

So far 3 different people in minutes pointed out your flaw. Not one age guy, so a community smacking down attempted bullying.
