There are no boy names that I like.

Anonymous
Still in the first tri with our second baby. We have a son who's name I like, but not love. Let's say it's Jonathan. It's very similar to that: long, classic name with an obvious nickname. It's not that name that I don't like...it's basically all boy names. Boy names seem to be divided into classic or trendy. :-/

Please help me think of a boy name!

Names Not Allowed (already used in family)
Andrew
Michael
Benjamin
Brian
Ryan
Alexander

Style of names I strongly dislike
Brayden, Aiden, Caden
Jackson
Tyler
Tyce

Names I'm just not crazy about...
Noah
Daniel
Aaron
David
Matthew
Ethan
Owen

Names I could possibly be convinced of:
Carter
Tucker
Luke

Also, I'd prefer to not have the "s" sound. I grew up with a lisp and after years of criticism from my mother I'm still uneasy about the S sound. Thomas aka Tommy might work though.

Sounds like you like trendy but normal.

OP here. Not trendy. I don't want his name to make a statement.

Do you already know it's a boy? If not, wait until you know the gender before worrying about finding a name you like.

I just mean names that are popular now and weren't 30 years ago. Such as Carter and Luke.

Suggestions: Graham, Harrison, Cooper, Caleb, Jack, Noah, Nolan, Cole, Levi, Seth

Thomas is a nice name.

Other possibilities for more classic/not trendy names:

James
Jacob
Timothy
Darryl
Sean (you said no S but it's more a "Sh")
Robert
Richard
Christopher
Evan

Yeah I agree, picking a boy name is kind of boring (/mother of two boys and two girls). I don't know why women find girl names more interesting. Is it because we grew up playing with dolls and naming them?

Jacob
Graham
William/Will
James
Jack
Oliver
Sam/Samuel
Henry
Isaac
Sebastian
Owen
Caleb
Charles/Charlie
Nolan
Noel
Zachary
Xavier
Theodore/Theo

I don't know, but I agree that naming our son was harder than our girls.

Graham: don't hate, actually
William/Will: never liked this name
James: dislike
Jack: too popular
Oliver: too trendy
Sam/Samuel: would prefer no "s" sound
Henry: too popular
Isaac: reminds me of the baby daddy on Teen Mom
Sebastian: "s" sound
Owen: sounds weak
Caleb: don't hate, but sounds redneck
Charles/Charlie: Charlie is now a girl name
Nolan: I was a teacher and had a bratty kid with this name
Noel: ?
Zachary: "S" sound
Xavier: "s" sound and too feminine
Theodore/Theo

OP here. Comments above. Not to nit pick, but just to give an idea of my thoughts!

OP here. I don't hate Adam or Graham. I don't like either of them, but I don't hate them. Progress?

Someone eventually will suggest a name I love. Maybe?! Come on, DCUM!

I do really like Luke. I don't hate Carter, but I think DCUM does. I love Tucker but now it's a dogs name.

Use Luke. It is a good, solid name.
