I think there is more to it. It would give Florida their own conference and open up space for a couple of additions |
Check the name of this specific forum. You might be lost. |
its a big deal if you know the history of tophat/da/ga/ecnl and even if you are another ga club from another part of the country as well. it shows the obvious decline of the ga which is obvious. top teams leaving and average to below average aspire teams are being promoted to ga. |
ECNL doesn’t push fomo the clubs and families definitely do. But ECNL has never said anything bad about other organizations. Them stating they’re the best doesn’t mean you should be offended because it hurts your feelings. |
We don’t know who is leaving yet, so let’s not get ahead of ourselves. That said, if it turns out to be who everyone is suggesting, it would be a huge blow. |
TOPHAT would rather have MLS Next, any noise for them will be a negotiating tool to get that for the boys. |
sure. that's why they have been begging ECNL girls to let them in for the last 5 years since da went bankrupt |
Its interesting that TH doesnt already have MLSN. |
Why would MLSN care about them leaving Ga. News flash they wouldn’t. Otherwise they would have let them in. |
They will care, GA is a partner. If they call in a favor to them MLSN will listen. |
They can’t afford to lose any of their champions league teams. They don’t have enough good teams/clubs joining to make up for it. If their partnership with MLSN meant anything MLSN would step in and help them out but it’s all for show. |
begging for two teams instead of one. |
| GA just added another good club |
The 4 to 5 other teams in their immediate area is what's keeping them out of MLSN |
^^this^^ people think the relationship between mlsnext and ga is tighter than it actually is. ga is trying to use leverage that they don't have and giving the perception that the relationship is like mlsnext and ga are 1 entity. |
