Hayfield Football Coach Fired

They will just try to pretend errors weren't made and then try to take credit for any future improvements to vetting procedures.

To be fair, three of the school board members have demonstrated their dedication to their roles throughout. I don't disagree with the overall message, but implicating the likes of Dunne et. al with the incompetent shills on the board isn't fair.

Are we living in a bubble on this forum?

“ While the Hayfield situation is perhaps the biggest black eye for Virginia’s largest school district in years, school board members in general — even those critical of her performance on this specific issue — appear to remain supportive of Reid’s overall leadership.”

Where is there any evidence to support this? Even Hayfield/Freedom sycophants want her to resign.

Because. If your biggest scandal is a football product in an area that can careless about high school football, heck even College football. Then you are really doing that bad of a job? (kanye shrug)

I am amazed by people who still think this is merely a football problem (I will assume that is what the above poster meant to write). It speaks volumes of them and their education.

It’s definitely more than a football program. This was about race. It’s a race problem.

They weren’t going to allow some Black guy to come into Fairfax County and build a powerhouse of a team that will dominate any other fcps school. Then he had nerve to attract talented players that were Black.

Madison is been representing Fairfax county in the Championship for years and that’s how the good white folks of Fairfax County want it. Try to change that and it’s going to be a problem.

Nothing to do with Hayfield. Just an outsider looking at the situation and it’s easy to see what it is. I don’t expect you to admit it. The white supremacist way has always been to gaslight, deny, and deflect.

It’s not about race.

It’s about fraud.

It’s about transparency.

It’s about the kids that got pushed out by this guy recruiting his players to “move” to Hayfield.

If the coaches and families were white: the outrage would be even worse and FCPs would have shut it down asap. I know you don’t think that way because you’re always the victim. But FCPS leans more left than most.

It’s sad that people have to pivot to fake claims of racism on this one.

Why so pessimistic? Coach O and Dr T are just getting started. They are in it for the long haul to “build a powerhouse.” What’s 2 years when Coach O is 100% committed to Hayfield and the community and will be here for 30 years handing out Thanksgiving dinners?

Didn’t Apostle Karen’s post say they didn’t do dinners this year because they weren’t playing?

It has nothing to do with representing, Hayfield cheated, Madison didn't.
