explain how ecnl is "tearing" down ga

It's really just ECNL parents... If GA adds a "bad team" It's GA watering itself down and getting weaker, but when ECNL adds "bad teams" it's ECNL getting stronger

Its the power of the ECNL hat. Every other club add is watering down. When ECNL does it the they're empowered. They say the same thing every time.

The irony is GA and ECNL are nearly identical. Theres 20 or so top clubs in ECNL that do well. If your kid isnt playing for these clubs everything is the same.

ECNL and GA are not equal. Just like ECNL and MLSN are not equal. One is clearly better.

GA does have strong clubs and teams that can compete and beat ECNL teams but when you consider the quality when you look at the quantity ECNL is by far better and it’s really not close. ECNL also has the college recruitment numbers to back that up. I believe 250% more D1 recruits than GA.

You need to come back to reality and stop trying to figure out how you can justify what club your kid is on.

Any GA club offered ECNL membership would jump in a heart beat. You made that same offer to 100 ECNL teams you’d get 0 response.

Why would a GA director tell the guy who wears 2 ECNL hats at the same time anything?

He says things like this, which creates a lot of noise and recognition, which increases his audience. Rinse, repeat. Thats how you get those followers.

He’s usually right? Didn’t he start the age change rumor? Or at least really get people talking about it? If what he says is true we will find out soon enough.

Was a good weekend for GA at Generation Adidas ...

As Generation Adidas comes to a close, I feel pride, optimism, and excitement as I think about the responsibility we all carry in shaping the future of the women’s game.

This event has been transformational and reminds me how deeply important it is to me that we create environments where girls and young women can develop, compete at the highest level, and lead with confidence.

It is why as the Commissioner I continue to prioritize player development, work to elevate female leaders in the game, and why moments like this week’s female scout educator course meant so much.

Seeing an all-female staff and cohort come together under Marieke Laurens’, Talent Lead Educator for US Soccer, was a powerful reminder of what this pathway can and should look like.

All of us in the youth soccer ecosystem have a responsibility to protect this space. The experience our players and families have should be grounded in respect, integrity, and accountability. They deserve an ecosystem that lifts the game up; it is our collective responsibility. The Girls Academy will continue to set the standard of excellence in our ecosystem and I’m excited to be leading the way with our team as we develop the next generation of top talent and women leaders!

Sometimes the ECNL game in town is NOT the better option.

The challenge here is

1. Local clubs that have prohibited other local clubs from joining. How do they react when their rivals join?

2. Does a new league come from all of this?

They shut up and keep riding gravy train.
I’m all for new leagues if it means more opportunities for kids to play and be recruited. Would be great if NWSL started something.

Definitely and parents should look for best place for each player. I’m talking about ECNL and GA not this club or that club.

it was a collection of ga "Allstars" not clubs playing "clubs" from other countries. if you think that women's soccer at the youth club level in 99% of the world is anywhere near what we have here, you are kidding yourself. there was a hug talent disparity. us players clearly better.

When are the ECNL teams playing internationals (hope they are, frankly)? Let's celebrate opportunities, not do the online crap posting all the time.

I can only speak for my area and it’s 1 club called Santa Clara Sporting. We had 2 others leave last year to join RL girls.
