I know it’s hard for Hayfield carpetbaggers to wrap their head around the concept.

Well good luck this weekend against Oscar Smith!

Madison will represent FCPS well, as they always have. Good luck to both teams and thank you Madison for representing FCPS the right way!

Madison will represent well, just as Hayfield, Lake Braddock or W&L would’ve. I would’ve liked to have seen the Hayfield vs Madison matchup though.

Even if Madison beats Oscar Smith, it would’ve been much sweeter if they were able to beat Hayfield and Oscar Smith in the postseason.

"Represent" in this context means more than being competitive on the field. It means having integrity, following the rules, competing on a level playing field, showing sportsmanship etc. That's what folks mean when they say "represent well".

Under that definition, one of those 3 ("Hayfield, Lake Braddock or W&L") may not be like the others...

This was incredibly well put.

I don’t have kids at Hayfield or any of these schools. I live in Northern Fairfax County and assuming they would’ve beaten Madison, I think Hayfield would’ve represented the county best. I respect everyone else’s opinion, but mine is that Hayfield got a raw deal and deserved the opportunity to compete.

That's your opinion. I'm of the opinion that having to vacate a state title would have embarrassed the county and would be the opposite or representing us well

No intelligent person who has kept abreast of the facts of this situation thinks the current iteration of the Hayfield football program got a raw deal.

Please do elaborate on how you came to this conclusion.

The apostle is out with a long post about how oppressed the Hayfield team was.

OMG. I had to stop reading it when I got halfway down. The grammatical errors hurt my brain and she really starts ranting by that point. It's actually comical. If I knew nothing about this scandal and came across her post as a casual reader, I would think she was out of her mind or it was satire. It's pure crazy talk

Desperation and trying to control the narrative. Unfortunately or the pro-Overton crowd, she's a terrible spokesman.

If you mean the actual Hayfield players pre-Overton got raw deal, then yes- they should have been able to play all season without the transfers. If mean something else, then no, the transfers should have stayed where they were- especially the Freedom players where even with a new coach, since they won state 2 years in a row, they should have had good chance to win again. They hurt themselves, but not even that much as already locked colleges and some leave in Jan to start. The younger kids will follow Overton to next school. All is well.

So back to the actual integrity, honest and loss of confidence discussion, who else skipped Reid’s boundary message from today as now don’t believe anything writes?

Hayfield would have been representing Prince William County, DC and MD, not Fairfax County.

“Apostle Karen” just sounds like a limited streaming series. Someone reach out to Taylor Sheridan and see if he wants to option her life story rights!
