Yes, that's my point. They dropped the book. I never said they couldn't. But everyone is really upset that I have different opinion about what is racist or not. They can't tell me why it's bad to simply have my own opinion about something. So they call me names. I don't know. I know they think they did. So I leave it open to be safe. If they insist they did, I'll just take their word for it. Makes no real difference to me. For same reason they think I didn't make up my own mind and challenge my right or ability to today that.

Well the problem with this whole unconscious bias thing. I didn't get the message that white people are dominant in that picture. I got one guy on top, others below and the guys on the bottom happen to be Asian. I can't prove that I did not pick up an unconscious bias, but they can't prove that I did. So how do they know if I did or I didn't?

I would never read this new genre of trans kids books in my home but it would NEVER have occurred to me to try to ban them from publication or sale.

Publishers stopping publication is NBD, it’s theirs to drop. Banning sales on eBay is weird, though.

But these cultural issues and all their symbolism are pretty clearly distractions from substantive issues, including for minority communities and those who have suffered under ‘Western hegemony’. The powerful in our society love these distractions, giving a fair shake to a community of people long cheated is nowhere near as attractive to the powerful as denouncing a dead-for-decades author.

So I'll give you a tip. Always question your own assumptions, not other people's intelligence or their motives. You made a lot of assumptions there that are plain wrong. You can learn a lot more by questionning assumptions than by assuming someone is smart or dumb.
