What is your take on the Angelina Jolie/Brad Pitt divorce saga? What happened on the plane?

She bought those kids. I thought Zahara has a bio mother that confirmed this.

She was collecting them, in all these colors. It’s sad. Hopefully they don’t end up messed up in the end.

International adoption in general seems more sketchy now than it did, say, 20 years ago. I've seen so many stories where it didn't go well or that the child had a lot of identity issues, understandably, but years ago this wasn't talked about.

"The number of children American parents adopt each year from abroad has declined rapidly too, from 23,000 in 2004 (an all-time high) to about 3,000 in 2019."

A lot of countries have closed their programs though. You can no longer adopt from Ethiopia, China etc. I think you can technically still adopt from South Korea which used to be the largest source of adoptees in the U.S. but don’t think you can adopt non-SN children from there anymore.

After a large number of Russian adopted children were killed by their American adoptive parents, Russia is closed to adoption too.

Turns out, international adoption is just a bad idea. Domestic adoption is problematic all-too-many times too.

Any suggestions on what to do with kids needing families?

Looks like all the adopted kids are alienated from Pitt.

This is creepy to take screenshots from what he wrote as a minor on his private account. Idk why people at that time thought it was okay. Anyway shiloh doesn't use Pitt on her IG either. I don't think any of them really talk to him.

Jolie is a very very strange and bizarre person. Lots of that caught on camera. I don't for one moment believe that Pitt is a bad guy. I do believe that someone is manipulating the kids.

Someone posted upthread that the kids go to family gatherings with their Pitt cousins - so yes, they talk to him. Just not where either Jolie or the paparazzi can see.

That doesn't mean they have a meaningful relationship with Brad. A lot of times he misses family gatherings like his niece's wedding that happened at his Santa Barbara home. Pax and Zahara are the closest with their cousins based on pictures and interactions (His family liked Pax's vouge video and Zahara's video joining her soririty) but those two obvious don't talk to him. It's good they have be close to his family regardless of their relationship with him.

She gets this crap brought up about every 6 months. Her single goal is to bring Pitt into the gutter. After all, she needs company.

The IG post in DM was 3 years ago. Why are they repeating this story?

Zahara dropped his name from her sorority and a tweet about Pax's message went viral again. This is the first time bigger tabloids picked up on it.

In retaliation for the Magnitsky law, Russia signed the Dima Yakovlev Law in honor of a young Russian boy adopted by Americans who did die in the United States. He was left in a hot car by his adoptive parents.

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-russia-usa-adoptions-putin/putin-signs-bill-banning-american-adoptions-of-russian-children-idUSBRE8BQ06K20121228/

Max Shatto, a 3 year old who was beaten to death, is the 20th Russian child adopted by American parents and died under suspicious circumstances.

While the Russia ban on adoptions was primarily politcally-motivated, it was also the right thing to do. We are not taking care of our international adopted children. We should, and mostly have, stop the practice.

Is Angelina trying to get Brad to drop the lawsuit by confirming the Insta story from almost 4 years ago?

Brad’s 60th birthday is next month and I’m assuming he’s having a party and none of the kids will be there.
