Not silent. We pushed to have it removed from state flags two decades ago. |
Hillary didn't the memo apparently. |
Hillary can't control every button made by a supporter. |
i dont get why you conservatives are losing your mind trying to point out contradictions of hillary, bill, or any other democrat.
the point is, today they feel the flag should be down. republicans are himming and hawing and trying to play both sides of the fence so as to not offend they small fringe racist voters of their party. fine hillary never states take the flag down until recently. you got that. hell maybe she even said its a states right. today her views have changed. a massacre and having empathy for the group it hurt has made her be more vocal and actually say to take it down. republicans on the other hand (some) continue to defend it and double down in some instances on how its fine. pointing out hillary supporting it, using it, or anything else doesnt "defend" your argument because today she is saying otherwise and saying so emphatically. i understand theres politics involved in this as well. at the same time, what politics are involved on the other side? the need to keep a voting block happy (in this case racists)? |
Hey look at that! I don't see any hemming and hawing in this photo. |
Except from the conservatives on DCUM. Or is everyone on board with getting rid of the flag? Even NASCAR is doing a flag swap. You can trade in your stars and bars for a flag that actually honors our country. |
Name the Republicans that are defending and doubling down. |
No. Does not fit the narrative. |
But your potshot does? LMAO! |
Didn't think they would come with any names. Figures. |
No, they all hid behind "states rights". Thankfully Nikki Haley took one for the team so they are all off the hook.
It's the morons here who seemed to defend the flag up and down. Politicians are too smart. They know where the public is going on this. |
Totally. I am from the deep south and think the flag does not belong on any public building. And I can almost immediately write off any chance of intelligent conversation or shared interest with someone who owns one at home/ has it on their vehicle/whatever. I love the south, but I don't understand how a symbol that comes from a time of slavery and brutality against AAs is something has persisted this long in public places. |
Right...guess Jeb Bush doesn't count...he removed the flag 14 years ago. |
Who said the following recently...
"Are all people who display or own a Confederate flag racist? No. Are there racists who display and own Confederate flags. Yes. Can it be offensive? Yes. Does that mean that all Confederate flags are to be banned or wiped out? Well, of course not. This is America…remember?" Ok...if you want to read all she has to say I will save you the search...I especially liked her pointing out there were NO RIOTS and people of all colors and creeds came together! She also points out where the confederate flag should never be displayed. http://yellowhammernews.com/faithandculture/alabama-civil-rights-lawyers-epic-rant-media-targeted-confederate-flag-because-charleston-didnt-riot/ |
Well, despite all the attempts by race card players, majority of this country is still sane - http://www.cnn.com/2015/07/02/politics/confederate-flag-poll-racism-southern-pride/ |
