It's NOT an officially approved button. Most, if not all, candidates have buttons like that and if one sanctions it...then I will have a problem with them.

She certainly did not seem at all opposed to the votes, or the campaign material bearing the confederate flag in 2008.

She travelled to the south three or four weeks ago to campaign; she even faked a southern drawl (an official one I suppose).

BUT SHE DID NOT ADDRESS THE FLAG. Imagine that - the perfect place and opportunity to speak out against the flag, and she failed to do so.

It's obvious she supports the flag when it suits her politically and opposes it whenever she thinks she can gin up a few votes.

Why should we trust her again?

Have you always struggled with basic reading comprehension? She made that statement ONLY AFTER the massacre occurred. Why don't you find a quote from her pre-dating the massacre? -like maybe from one of the many times she campaigned in the south and pandered to them with a fake southern accent which magically disappears when she crosses the Mason-Dixon?

Democrats have been silent on the flag up to now because they benefitted from all the votes by old southern democrat voters who love that flag.

Not silent. We pushed to have it removed from state flags two decades ago.

i dont get why you conservatives are losing your mind trying to point out contradictions of hillary, bill, or any other democrat.

the point is, today they feel the flag should be down. republicans are himming and hawing and trying to play both sides of the fence so as to not offend they small fringe racist voters of their party.

fine hillary never states take the flag down until recently. you got that. hell maybe she even said its a states right. today her views have changed. a massacre and having empathy for the group it hurt has made her be more vocal and actually say to take it down. republicans on the other hand (some) continue to defend it and double down in some instances on how its fine.

Totally. I am from the deep south and think the flag does not belong on any public building. And I can almost immediately write off any chance of intelligent conversation or shared interest with someone who owns one at home/ has it on their vehicle/whatever. I love the south, but I don't understand how a symbol that comes from a time of slavery and brutality against AAs is something has persisted this long in public places.
