11 boys finished 13 out of 13
12 boys finished 13 out of 13
13 boys finished 12 out of 13

So WAIT. Half of their teams finished last and Five out of Six teams finished in the bottom 3 out of 14 teams.
I’m sure they must be changing coaches or firing the leadership right?
Nope. And the girls side is only marginally better. Which begs the question how are they keeping ECNL. My assumption is CW is bigger than the program and is probably one of the shining stars keeping ecnls attention. And he isn’t even playing.

Next season the girls teams will probably do worse. Will be interesting
My guess is part of the move with the alliances is to keep the badge. FVU has leverage to say, "if we lose the badge, then you may lose all of these teams in RL, etc." It was pretty strategic with what they did last year. Just sucks they are such a mess with mostly pour coaches.

Not true. ECNL RL can keep their status as they have their own charter. ENCL National can lose their charter and then they have choice of becomgin RL or not ECNL at all.

FVU needs all the alliances because they cannot attract talented player because of their current reputation and not able to compete in high level. esp on boys side.

It’s less complicated than all of this: they broke off from McLean which meant they lost all of the field space. The alliances gave them initial access to fields (which is why the timing lined up). After that it was to create the perception of a pipeline but it’s no mystery that it’s not ECNL quality and MV favors VYS. Already seeing dramatic qualify drop off. FVU isn’t pulling in top ECNL talent the way VDA, Arlington or Bethesda do. Successful teams were from the initial days with early promises and the shine is off.

Girls side is marginally better? Ok, VDA dad.

The parents posting this crap on here are worse than the clubs trying to hoodwink the next wave of inexperienced travel parents.

ok the boys are marginally worse than the girls. Do you feel better now? If it wasn’t for the 12s and 13s your girls side would be underwater like the boys.

well that explains the constant complaints I heard about 45 min practices on half a field. No scrimmages or practicing shooting drills. You had no space to do that. Sheeesh. It all makes sense now. You play how you prep. Some clubs have regular scrimmages inter club and external.

What were practices like without field space?

When ARL goes GA they should be able to pick up some players to compete with VDA

I thought it would have happened this past year but at this point I think that it’ll never happen.

Start worrying about you DD or DS vs the club or the coach. You and they have much more control over the journey, work hard be better than the next girl. Coaching across the board in this area is just ok, yes some coaches may be a little better and some a little worse. Have you watched the trainings? Nothing special going on at any of them.

Yawn…well now we know there is a poster desperately trying to craft this narrative in two chats. Give it a rest. I hope this is not what FVU is putting half effort in over. Folks would simply head to BSC or VDA before FVU.

There is only one. Dont put too much sauce on it. The other one is heading overseas. Trap player isn’t in the conversation with those two. Respectfully. But carry on.

Valid point. I think/hope the new coach will be an improvement for FVU. Whats the consensus thus far?
