How would you know that level of detail for each 2015. Are you one of the parents or an admin/coach for FVU?

There's another post here that said the 2015s are from SYC.

If so, they play u12 EDP but not the same level of local 2015 teams they lost to.

All those 2015s can’t compete against 2013s physically or mentally, and especially the ones they have will end up on the bench.
Correct, they will probably be players 19-22 or whatever. Riding the bench but thinking they are building a resume to go for another club the following year.

Are these actual 2015s or 2014s that could play the new age, but decided not to do that?

Actual 2015s

I guess time will tell. Puberty is a big factor around this time.

SYC smokes them
Any club smokes them.

Let’s me know when you make it to nationals playoff

How many more years can the ECNL keep FVU in the NL on the boys side?

08/07 boys finished 11 out of 13
09 boys finished 13 out of 13
10 boys finished 7 out of 13
11 boys finished 13 out of 13
12 boys finished 13 out of 13
13 boys finished 12 out of 13

but every year at/near the bottom in all but one age group with no upward trajectory?

ecnl isn't getting rid of teams, they are bleeding teams to MLS. If FVU pays their dues they aren't getting kicked out.

Their tryouts are a shit show and they can't scout. As a current player, we were told to come back before tryouts even started. My son brought out 2 of his buddies from SYC so they could potentially play together. The 2 MLS homegrowns didn't get offers! They probably wouldn't have taken the offers, but come on. That coach is the same POS that glazed his own son so he could end up at MW.

So WAIT. Half of their teams finished last and Five out of Six teams finished in the bottom 3 out of 14 teams.
I’m sure they must be changing coaches or firing the leadership right?

Unfortunately, it's not just FVU, when it comes to horrible and biased tryouts. Add McLean to that list. After check-in on the day of their tryout, all the boys who the club clearly already determined where the "best" or have scouted, went and practiced on a separate field. The rest of the boys practiced on another field using mini goal pods and pretended to hold a legitimate tryout.

Here is what I know: FVU won 2 age groups in MA Division, VDA also won 2 age groups and ARL won 1. Also, as an unbiased observer, the track record of CW seems as good or better than any coach at ARL or VDA. FVU facilities not as good and college recruiting not as successful. Sounds like each of the three clubs can stake a claim to being the best depending on what criteria you use. What am I missing?

Fair summation of last year and the past influence of CW. However the past few years have been an administrative nightmare. Families gave them some leeway but after 2 years of poor management many families are moving on. The 13s will be good. 12s will take a small step back. 11s and up will take major steps back.

This is true, except I think 12s will get hit a little harder than anticipated.

12s will be fine. Only team that will compete with them is VDA.

That team is about to drop 50-60% of the goals scored with their losses to other teams. They won’t be hanging out with Wilmington but they also won’t be looking at playoffs next year.

You must have FVU confused with ARL

Which player(s) did FVU lose?

ARL lost their best player but the team didn’t need her to be successful. They won’t change much. FVU is going to have a very hard time without theirs.

Not just this club, not even tryout related. Have been watching year after year, favorites can’t scan, dribble until they lose the ball, while subs scan, almost never turn the ball over, and have more goals/ assists. The “top” coaches in this area continue to push the kids that turn the ball over every time they touch it and over look the kids with the higher soccer IQ. It seems to be the defining criteria of couches in this area. Pick fast kid who does nothing to help the team win over the kid that actually distributes/ assists/scores the most but is less flashy. Name me a coach in this area that doesn’t promote the kid with more assists/goals/best passing rate versus the kid that wins the beep test? Any Coach relying on a beep test over results is a fraud. That is the problem, who defends, who finishes, that is the test and the local coaches have no clue.

Nope. And the girls side is only marginally better. Which begs the question how are they keeping ECNL. My assumption is CW is bigger than the program and is probably one of the shining stars keeping ecnls attention. And he isn’t even playing.

Next season the girls teams will probably do worse. Will be interesting
