Europe does this btw. Every youth tournie on the continent, the UK teams have to either play up a few months or reconfigure their rosters. |
The evidence is that one dad is reliable. We will find out in time if he’s BS everyone. But for now I’m going to assume GA is going SY and ECNL will stay BY for 25/26. |
It’s part of what they purport to sell. |
You expect us to think you are some rando who doesn’t really care, and even prefers SY, but chooses a soccer forum thread to exercise his undying urges to have things written in black and white? Please… |
How valid is the rumor that ECNL is allowing 4 trapped players to move to their SY teams in January 2026? It would be great to revisit where that came from |
Well as of now ECNL has no plans of changing anything. So I would assume that was made up. Only saving grace would be if US soccer decides to allow an early change. Which would be something they would discuss this fall during their meetings similarly to when they discussed the age group change at all. |
You mean he posted fake emails before, but it turned out to be closish in the sense that something did change, albeit not at all what he said except for SY related. So now you’ll say he is “reliable.” Even tho he is now saying “I’m just passing these along, they’re not even from me, I can’t verify them.” 🤦🏻♀️ |
Wait…now we want facts…but if it’s someone else on a topic you align with, then we don’t want fact? This thread is nuts |
All I said is what we know to be true at this point which is ECNL is not changing this year. And who ever said the January stuff made it up? What did that have to do with what you’re saying? |
They posted emails screen shots a month or so before anything was announced that it was being discussed and someone from ECNL said it was most likely going to change. Other then that all I’ve seen is last few emails which can’t be verified until GA makes a decision publicly and ECNL calendar year finishes with no changes. |
🤦♂️Stop embarrassing yourself. We all know you made up the posts on socalforum. |
USSF has no influence over youth soccer since DA folded (except the YNT). This do-whatever-you-want age cutoff is the manifestation of that. They don't control anything anymore so they can't tell people what to do anymore. USYS , USCS and AYSO were merely giving them a token proposal. |
ECNL and GA going SY for 26/27 and no changes for 25/26 seems like a very reasonable take at this point not sure it’s worth dying on the hill to oppose that. But if you wish to fight until your last breath on the BY hill I respect. |
I’m pretty sure USSF is still in control but has given leagues the ability to govern themselves starting in 26/27. If USSF decided to take that power away they could easily. |
I think we all know who’s embarrassing themselves. Don’t be a school year denier. |
