I don’t think it’s games. Yields are getting so unpredictable because kids are applying to 20+ schools (ridiculous) so the predictions are getting harder. And the flip side is there were years many schools over-enrolled, had kids in hotels, not enough housing because more than they expected said “yes”. I think from a school view it’s easier to fill more seats after than be over enrolled

^ and everyone has high inflated GPAs nowadays…and the kids with high scores are applying to the same 20-25 colleges so they can only accept so many.

UVA update from yesterday just says they admitted "a small number of students" and "will continue to monitor the class moving forward." No mention of resolving the status of all waiting list students by June 15th like a previous post.

Likely. Most universities, even public, get $$ support from International students. They need the full tuition to support FA for others.

Yes....the class IG page has had a few OOS students introducing themselves as recently coming off the WL. All OOS is my guess too.
