Oh I don't know. Maybe 20-25K a year might have something to do with it.

So the better education and the better athletics aren’t worth it?

Both of those conclusions are questionable. And no, $100K in four years to play at a lower D1 or D3 school is not worth it, can do that for free at public. Very few of the PVI kids will go to a top 25 D1 school.

1. Lots of PVI alumn currently on top 25 D1 programs
2. HS does not matter for recruiting it is all based on club performance
3. Fewer kids at PVI are actually playing lacrosse yet they are above capacity so they don't need lacrosse.

Not sure why people care how others spend money. PVI is cheap compared to the other private DMV schools and most parents send kids there for the catholic education and not for sports. Only baseball and basketball are good sports at PVI and occasionally the lacrosse team. I know several PVI families who would still send kids there if the lacrosse team was just like DJO or BI.

1. True
2. Only if you play for bad high school team and goes against 1.
3. True but why? Money, perceived lack of benefit, lack of players to go around?

100K is pocket change for most of the families that go to PVI. The real value is getting good teachers, getting to know great families, and avoiding all of the BS that comes with Loudoun publics (fights, furries, disruptive kids taking learning cycles away from kids that want to excel, etc.)

Agreed. This is why most families send their kids to privates. I'll throw in that the sports (in general) are much better as well. Privates aren't perfect, but many feel the benefits outweigh the costs.

Don't forget the under-aged drinking allowed by the private school coaches. Great role models.

I think 1 kid is going to Michigan. The rest are 1 x D2 and 2 x D3 schools. But 2 of them are going to CNU/D3, which is supposed to have a good program for D3.

Great athletics but lousy academic profile for CNU.

well that didn’t age well🤣

And it was pretty pathetic at the beginning too.
Serious question, are all Indy parents this bad or or is it just DW and a few on this board that give them all a bad name?

I could really use a break from the Indy AND Riverside parents here.

On that note Riverside people above, you are truly stupid if you think the first post was anything more than a troll post by someone other than an Indy parent. It screams troll.

If you really believe it, the Nigerian prince and the Microsoft support guy that called want to speak with you.

I went to that game last night, as I watched the first ones on stream. Will provide my thoughts on these two team later. Good, bad and ugly.

Gotta love this post. Starts with I need a break from the Indy/Riverside talk and ends with “I’ll provide my thoughts…later”. How about follow your own request and spare us all.

OK smart guy. That was my post and I am Indy or Riverside and the actual play. Learn to read. I said I could do with out the parents. I suspect you are a parent of one of those teams and based on what I saw and heard last night, I can guess from what team.

Its the smart comments and NOT talking about the actual lacrosse. I don't mind hearing about either, or, any team and the game itself. I can do without the constant picking at each other.

That clearer?

Indy at Riverside today for the 5D region.

Not a single post about how Indy kids are gods walking the earth among us?
No Riverside parents complaining how their boys are treated too rough?
No #43 or Indy slashers? No living in the past with rec titles or we own 5A?
No odds on the game, penalties or how much Riverside will win by?

So disappointing from both sides!

The chess master is busy studying his craft.

I feel like Indy is more like the Cobra Kai of Loudoun County.

Hahaha okay that's funny.
