Someone started to do this earlier, but I can't find the thread.
Post your club's Travel Soccer Tryouts: FPYC just released: http://fpycsports.com/travel-team-try-outs/ |

www.capitalfc.org - great club in the District. Practices are just off I-395.
Tryouts are May 21st |

Interesting that PWSI charges a fee to try out. Granted, it's not much, but still odd. Do other clubs charge too? |
They have closed tryouts for some of the age groups too. Invite only. I don't mind that. My team that was a 5-time VA State and 2-time Eastern Regional winner never had open tryouts. They did make cuts every year. But--we never had formal tryouts. I feel like beginning May 1st nobody is really into the current season/team at our club--everyone is making plans for the following year and attending other tryouts. Takes away from the experience. |

I see something about required 10 hours of volunteer time. Do most clubs do this ? Do they really hold people to that ? |
looks like the "invite only" is just for the 3rd tryout date -- open up to that date |

VYS starts May 9: https://vystryouts.wordpress.com/schedule/tryouts-schedule/
PAC has a dead link, but I have the info for boys. It's kind of laid-back -- I *think* you're asked to attend any three sessions of your choice, and if you're over U8, you're really just joining an existing team for practice. Tuesdays, May 17-June 7, Luther Jackson: U8-U11 from 5 to 6:30 U12 6:30 to 8 U13-U19 6:45-8:15 Thursdays, May 19-June 2, Luther Jackson: U8-U11 from 5 to 6:30 U12 6:30 to 8 U13-U19 6:45-8:15 I *think* the Saturday sessions will be new folks only, but I'm not sure: Saturdays, May 21 and June 4, Shrevewood ES: U8-U12 from 1 to 2:30 U13-U15 from 2:30 to 4 U16-U19 from 4 to 5:30 |
Same at our club. Some of the kids have already committed to other teams and telling the rest of the team, etc. |
We still don't know who our coach will be for next year which has a lot of people anxious. |
Anyone go to the Arlington U9 tryouts? Took my DS yesterday and seemed like there were 100 kids scrimmaging on over 10 fields. This was our first tryout experience and DS enjoyed it. |
