FCPS comprehensive boundary review

We are at Ravensworth and under 10 minutes walking distance to Lake Braddock. I hope your source is wrong!

These are the major HS-related moves that will potentially occur. Keep in mind ES and MS boundaries will be tweaked to accommodate these moves.

My source could be completely wrong, so keep that in mind.

I am on the Boundary Review Committee. We haven't even started discussing any scenarios yet. We're still looking at all the comments from the community meetings.

The reality is the school board is going to make the decisions. So they may have already decided on the above and we're just "working" so it appears the community has input.

If the above results become true then it's proof the superintendent has not engaged with the community in good faith. More ammo for FairFACTS Matters.

Waples Mill to Johnson/Fairfax somewhat makes sense. Basically an even trade if they lose Willow Springs to RSS.

The OP for this post explicitly stated to take this with a grain of salt and stated that it could be 100% wrong. The fact that it's so detailed and that the thread was locked almost immediately makes me think this plan is more likely than not. Suspicious...

The thread was locked because this thread about boundaries already exists. I think Jeff decided to let people speculate as long as it's contained in one thread. Once it hits 999 pages, you can start another.

That may be true, but things are particularly up in the air at the moment. With enrollments already flat or declining, it's hard to see the urgency.

We just bought a home walking distance to Wakefield Forest Elementary and from our home to Woodson is half the distance from our home to Annandale High. If this is true, how in the world is this logical. With the current uncertainty facing federal government workforce and FCPS making unpredictable changes how can a middle class family in fed workforce make it through without a complete breakdown.

No, the same kids fill the elementary schools mentioned, it's just that their subsequent middle and high school changes. Moving them from a "crowded" ms and hs to a less crowded one.
