Prince Philip is not the boss here. The big changes will come when the Queen passes and Charles finally can fashion the BRF his way.

I don't know if it was in the US press but Fergie really did a number on the royal family. apart from being photographed having her toes sucked by the side of a pool by a man who wasn't her husband, she was also frequently photographed by the UK press falling over after coming out of nightclubs, they even got a shot of her ginger pubes when she did the splits in a mini skirt on the side of the street. It was pretty awful. A total embarrassment for all of them. That's why she went overseas for a few years, to escape it.

Funny that - everyone says the BRF fell apart when Phillip retired. And it shows. He really was the iron force keeping them roughly in line.

Philip left the estate when that family meeting was to take place. I presume he did not want to meet Harry.

Charles isn’t liked or taken seriously in the U.K. Not sure how he will fare as king.

Eh? The Queen Mother approved of Charles’ affair with Camilla. Hence Diana’s acid remark about her being the chief leper of the leper colony. If anything Diana’s death cleared the way for Charles and his mistress to marry.
