Mental health and gun control are two different topics. Not all or most who harm or kill with guns are mentally ill. |
I'm a poster who has made several comments calling out the BS with respect to the "transgender roommate" thread (at least with what we know of a this time, only one source, a Fox News personality who has been picked up by numerous Murdoch owned publications with no other corroboration). That said, the Groyper angle is just as disingenuous, while some of gaming aspects of the etchings are Groyper-adjacent, without more info, it's just that: Groyper-adjacent. Could easily be a 4chan/8chan dweeb that wanted to get "internet famous." It's all too nebulous right now and the stuff that is leaking is coming from people with agendas. |
^^ his children will only have photos and video to remember him. But as long as we still have the right to own firearms. The kids don’t need their dad, he died a true hero, that’s what’s truly important here. I’m sure if Charlie was given a second chance at life he would choose the same path. s/ |
This post uses a few recognizable rhetorical strategies: 1. **Dismissive framing** – “350+ pages” is used not to engage with arguments but to belittle the effort, portraying it as excessive and misguided. 2. **Ad hominem/generalization** – By labeling it “lies told by the Democrat left,” the writer doesn’t address evidence but attacks a whole political group, suggesting dishonesty is inherent to them. 3. **Triumphalist language** – “Going down in flames” is a metaphor meant to suggest total defeat of the opposing narrative, regardless of whether the facts support that claim. 4. **False dichotomy** – The framing implies only two options exist: either the shooter was “far right MAGA” (supposedly disproven) or the opposing claim (left-wing radicalization) must be true. That leaves no room for complexity. So, this is an example of **partisan polemic rhetoric**, heavy on ridicule, exaggeration, and group-label attacks, rather than evidence-based argument. |
But mental illness can develop, one may purchase a gun with a sound mind but then become ill. |
They are interrelated given the state of violence in this country. It's beyond disingenuous to care about trans being involved with CK while ignoring that the far-right was involved with the Colorado high school. |
Some people aren’t worth debating. They are too far out there to bother. |
Did any victims die? No Did anyone famous in a natl scale die? No. How many people get shot and killed daily in America? With or without gang on gang shootings? CO boy was a social media influenced shooter who injured two and then killed himself. Do you want him to get more attention so other troubled young men do the same? Or what do you want? |
Yes that was horrible. Pls post the mocking. I only saw sympathy and shock. Maybe I need to cultivate more of your feeds, who do you follow that you saw whatever you saw? |
Well, it’s a shame for his kids. Suicidal people probably shouldn’t have kids. |
Ehhh, not a very good reply there. You're saying that school shootings are so normalized as to be irrelevant to any discourse. This is the very environment that CK was part of creating. |
The left’s peons and nobodies already have. Here and elsewhere. It’s quick and easy to see on all platforms and this thread. Many NPCs couldn’t stop themselves from posting distasteful, inhumane, smiling posts or selfies or videos. The left’s figureheads expressed shock and sympathy. |
So you want to give THIS story more attention so other troubled young men participate in political violence? Or what do you want? |
This article from 2016 is pretty prophetic for where we are now:
