Why are women in their 30s considered old and men are not?

If a guy is single in his thirties people usually say oh he is waiting for the right girl and taking his time and being responsible. If a woman is 30+ and single she's too old and a spinster.

Remind me, why again?

Is it the fertility thing? But with modern medicine and good nutrition and health most women can conceive for as late as late thirties.

It's a fertility thing. And please look into how hard it is to get pregnant in your late 30s. It's not as easy as you think and you're not that fertile.

Omg yes!!! I wish there was a public education campaign on this. My best friend is 30 and told me she thought she had two more DECADES of fertility left. She figured she wouldn't hit menopause until she was in her mid 50s. I had just gotten pregnant at the same age as her from fertility treatments and couldn't believe it.

It's a fertility thing. Most people are just not that cool with adopting and not having bio kids of their own. If they were, fertility wouldn't be an issue.

Men are attracted to women primarily on physical attractiveness. All else being equal, men find women most attractive in the early 20s-early 30s range (obviously exceptions).

Women are attracted to men based on power, "ambition", money, , confidence, status and of course physical appearances which often go as much to how he wears a suit more than if he has a six pack. It takes men years of career success to achieve these things.

LOL! It's not about feeling the effects, it's about seeing them. Women start to show their age (in a bad way) in their 30s. Men just get more attractively mature in their 30s and 40s.
