| ^Agreed with this. |
| Jen’s speaking engagements dried up because of Covid closures and her deconstructing faith. Arena type events are just now making a come back and there are even fewer opportunities for her to fit in at Christian based conferences/conventions. Without the preaching bit, she doesn’t have a lot else to offer by way of public speaking. This is not Brandon, this is all Jen—for better or worse, which seems to be up for debate! |

I saw a video on Instagram from Allie Beth Stuckey where she calls out Jen and Glennon, and says she would rather see the outward satan worship (like on the Grammys) than the teachings of Jen and Glennon.

| Wow, Jen is bad but Allie is a Candace Owens type of bigot. An absolutely vile person. |
| I've never heard of her before today and I hope it's the last I ever hear of her. I made it through about 20 seconds of that clip. |
|
Also, girl's gotta eat, but no one has to stay in Maine for five weeks, or fly at the last minute to see multiple Broadway shows in one weekend, or get a tummy tuck.......etc. I don't buy the "respect the player, hate the game" argument.
She is obnoxious, and I enjoy reading other people calling it out. |
Who is this person? This is disgusting. |
| I feel like Jen is missing a big opportunity by not really spending this week plugging all of the gross food people can make from her book for the big game on Sunday. Like, this is your time to shine! You have what is essentially food you'd feed to drunk people at your house! Sell those books of yours! This is the week! Your book is tailor made for footballs season. Nobody is going to be buying that looking for Easter Brunch recipes. |

| I am not a Jen fan girl and I certainly cringe about some of her behaviors and partnerships. That said, I feel the urge to defend her when I see such a double standard in this thread. Jen’s ethics are scrutinized - even to the point of insinuating that she’s an unfit mother and Remy should live with Brandon. Brandon?!? Brandon is a low life scuz who has exhibited poor morals and ethics in just about any category you can name! I find it fascinating that people scrutinize Jen’s ethics and basically blame her for any of Brandon’s terrible actions (he was horrible because she pushed him to be…). The Christian spin on all of it is wild. The inconsistency and constant comparisons between the two Hatmakers is what compels me to defend her—it’s also what keeps me coming back to DCUM. I love to hate you guys! 🤣 |
I’m sorry but this is precious. Girl is not “making hay” she is solidly middle class. She lives in nowhere Buda where the houses around her are trailers and have cars on blocks, didn’t pay her taxes and couldn’t afford to keep her second property. Stop acting like this is something to aspire to. The amount of people who want to overlook blatant disregard for the law, preying on women and operating shady businesses is mind blowing. |

again, she said on some podcast that she is so rich but had to sell the lake house?
so which is it? rich or poor? she doesn't live like a poor person. can a poor person afford to rent a roll-off? can a poor person afford to refinish the floors? now she is talking about painting the whole house. |
| She’s not poor but I agree with PP that she’s solidly in the middle class zone. Making “hay”? It doesn’t appear that way. Middle class folks redo their floors and paint their homes - it’s just basic home upkeep and maintenance. I know her home is old and historic and all of that but it just looks old on the inside with a dated interior. I guess it’s good that she’s doing something to that house. |
| I’m curious to know what her house is worth. Austin area real estate is wild, even as far out as Buda. She lives close to downtown, which is super cute. It’s probably $600+, even if the same house would be a fraction of that in another area. Hopefully, it’s paid off since they got it cheap and fixed it up. |
PP did not say “making hay” it said pay her own way—no mention of class. The point is people seem bitter — Better Health is a fairly new introduction in these 300 pages of snark. |
