| What was the objection they gave for using the song "Nothing but the Blood"? too gruesome? too Jesus-focused? That we need MORE than the blood? |
My educated guess is that “What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.” was the offender. Based on what I’ve heard from Sis, the progressive ideology says there is no sin. There is no hell. Everyone is just free to “live their truth” and “follow their heart”. Jen even once said that she told her kids, “this exploration is safe, because hell does not exist”. And because Jen has the emotional and intellectual maturity of a child, she has never once thought this through to its logical end. If there is no “sin” and cool, hippy Jesus just wants us to be happy - why did He have to die? And what makes one person”s exploration acceptable, while she condemns others’? We’ve actually spoken on this thread about a man that Jen defended and celebrated, for leaving his wife and children to be with his male lover and live authentically. Isn’t this what Brandon did as well? So, what can wash away my sin? From the viewpoint of this crowd, it’s not Jesus. It’s just vibes. |
