RL is starting to gain momentum. If you really look at the data RL is not getting the same number of D1 recruits but is killing GA in D2/3 also outside of the GA Champions League teams RL is basically right behind GA.

My kid plays in the GA on a west coast team and it’s really a waste of money the games are basically RL level or worse with very few quality showcases on west

Everyone knows its made up nonsense. Easy to verify/confirm with the ranking app.

If not talking about rankings or which teams are better im talking about college recruitment. GA is better than RL in regards to D1 recruits but the vast majority of signings come from the minority of GA clubs. RL however has substantially more girls get recruited to play D2/3.

Also outside of Norco December showcase that also is during HS season which is a huge conflict for west coast players there is not really any local showcase options. You either attend Norco in December or NC in April. Not all teams get invited to Florida.

ECNL/RL just own the west coast and it’s not close.

GA Champions Cup is one of the best GA showcases you don’t know what you’re talking about. You have to be a champions league member or be invited.

Champions Cup is GA’s best event aside from Finals. Tons of scouts, relatively few teams attend because you have to qualify, so plenty of eyes on top teams and talent.

Overall, it’s hard to argue that ECNL, as a whole, is better for exposure in girls soccer. But if you’re in GA and are on a team or in a club that regularly goes to finals or Champions Cup, you’re getting just as much exposure.

As far as exposure, top ECNL and GA clubs are very similar. After that, you’re better off on an average ECNL club than an average GA club.

I'd prefer to to talk about the ECNL event in Kansas City OUTDOORS in the middle of winter. Such a good decision.

That is considered one of their showcases? That’s why they have champions cup and a showcase at the same time.

My point is GA showcases are not very good unless you can make it to champions cup.

I’m pretty sure for clubs with MLSN they are making girls join RL first and earn their way in. So my guess would be teams with current boys in ECNL or non MLSN already like STA (NJ) and Top Hat (GA).

The champions cup events are also showcases, and open to all teams who want to attend. The champions cup teams only play each other and the showcase teams play each other, but the games are all at the same place with all the same exposure.
