It doesn't help anyone and it won't make this go away. You may just make yourself ill. I'm not a doctor or psychologist, but I think that obsessing over something this upsetting and horrible could have long-term effects.

If you were close to the family, then ignore my comment. I have no business advising you.

I didn't know the family. I'm a new mother and all I can think about is that child, what he went through, and what his family went through. Am I the only one? I guess I need to stay off of this thread but I feel compelled to learn everything there is to know about what happened, and think about what I can do to protect myself and my family from monsters like this who exist in our world.

I had the same reaction when I heard about the T.C. Maslin murder, thinking about my husband. It ate me up, and I was so, so scared and so obsessed with the case. In the end it turned out to be the some of the first clinical signs of severe anxiety and depression that I've been working on and medicating for. Please talk to someone about this, anyone. EAP line? Therapist? You need to deal with these emotions and assess how what happens fits into your life and mind. I know how the fear can consume you, and especially with such a high profile case, it's almost impossible to ignore. But you need help. I needed help but waited way too long to get it.

Um, TC Maslin is still alive.

To all those people obsessing about this case:
STOP. IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU.

Exactly. So much of this is silly. They were looking for savvas, who hadn't been at the office bc he was working at the martial
Arts studio he was opening. Obv he didn't answer his phone during the fire, so they called his assistant to look for him.

Because JW was the driver. SS should be with him. I think it's a very normal thing to do and I think driving immediately to house is also normal- I would have done the same thing. As for the bolder text, you have no idea who was notified.

How do you know who was called? Just because one was called doesn't mean the others weren't.

If you are frantically trying to contact someone who isn't answering his phone, I would call the person who is most likely to be with him or know where he is. That person was Jordan Wallace. How is that so hard to understand?

It's the end of another week. Would be such a relief if LE could release something else to the public today ... We are going to wear ourselves out with speculation.

But I think the reality is we won't get real details for some time. I'm sure they want to proceed very carefully, knowing they have air-tight evidence that will stick to others arrested, and that will hold up in court. They don't want to get this wrong. Especially with loose cannons like Flicker lurking around. Check out his Wiki blurb. He's crazy but unfortunately been pretty effective in some crime cases. God help us if he somehow gets to represent Wint or anyone else they arrest.

Even after three weeks it's still so unbelievable. If only we could understand? If only we could solve it?

Everyone hug their kids and loved ones today.

Okay - neighbor calls AIW. AIW immediately starts trying to contact Savvas unsuccessfully. They try his home, his cell. They try his wife. They then try his driver/assistant, who either is with him or may have a clue where he is.

Driver, having just deposited a crazy amount of money at the house, zooms to house. Save the money for the boss! Yikes!

I guess it is all plausible. The only piece it depends on is a neighbor calling AIW. Without that, it is farfetched.

Obviously, there is someone in the neighborhood who knows s/he called AIW. Obviously, there is someone at AIW who made a slew of calls at that point. Obviously, there's a record of the call from AIW to JW. So our speculation is unnecessary; the police have all the information necessary to evaluate whether his decision to zoom to the house is credible.

No. You are way, way behind on the facts. The $40K was ransom and was not prearranged. The center was just the explanation Savvas gave under duress.

I can relate. I have no connection to the family either but am shocked to the core with what seems like an outright act of evil. They killers could have gotten the money without resorting to torture. I'm sure Mr. Savapoulos would have done anything to protect his family and their housekeeper.

I play through in my mind what would have happened if he did blurt out to call 911 during one of his phone calls: would the killers have fled immediately? Would they have killed the child and then fled? Killed everyone and fled? I know it's just Monday morning quarterbacking at this point, but like others, I think , what if?

You do have a connection----- with feeling of being vulnerable and unsafe. One way to get past this vulnerability feeling is to make some plans of what you might do in such a scenario and then obvious ways to keep you safe on the street and in your home. You have more control than you realize and you probably would not have this situation happen to you. If if did you would have thought out scenario responses and would be ahead in that situation b/c you thought it out without the stress of being in the actual situation that the family found themselves. This could be a way to move forward ---focusing on what you do have control of, making options, choosing what fits you and then moving on to positive aspects in your life. Wishing you and others serenity.

Does anyone really think that if he was involved in this that he'd have headed right for the house??

The summary above is correct and I think JW isn't involved.
