How will anti-vaxxers lives be limited?

Her dad, my uncle, works in pathology, he told her and her sister to take this seriously and get vaccinated. Her sister went ahead and got the vaccine. Her mom, who is a crazy Trumpster conspiracy theory mongering anti vaxxer (divorced by my uncle years ago) talked her out of getting the vaccine. And now her asshole anti-vaxxer mom will likely be directly responsible for her daughter dying from COVID because he listened to mom and didn't get it instead of listening to dad and getting it.

So I have a special level of anger for idiotic anti-vaxxers. Whatever "reasons" you THINK you have for playing games and avoiding the vaccine are just plain WRONG. You ARE hurting people.

Man. That is awful. Her own mom has killed her! I'm sure it will be the "libs" fault somehow.

This is what it will be like going forward, though. Hospitals filled with Trumpers since almost all the Dems/Independents will be vaccinated.

People have short memories here especially out of political convenience. The more likely scenario is that the trumpers don’t get vaccinated and most of them will be fine - maybe some additional deaths - but the virus will eventually fade away and all of the trumpers will then start the “see, all a big hoax” mantra all over again.

At this point, though, the horse is out of the barn with the CDC’s new guidance and there is no getting the horse back in the barn.

For those that want to get vaccinated, get it and for those that won’t, will continue to do so.

The big question will be what happens when next winter rolls around and the need for boosters is important. Are we going to go through this debate annually?

Given the alleged side effects, we dont want to be around you either. That's why we didnt take it, lol

The side effects which last one day? You are such an idiot.

LOL, nope. Enjoy though. And thanks for isolating yourself so we dont have to deal with you anymore

In spite of your carrying on, you and all the anti vaxxer whiners benefit greatly from the vaccine.

People change on their own. You can't really change people.

My senior dad who voted rebuplican for 60 years changed thanks to trump. He dispised that candidate. So yes, things can change people.

My gym is requiring vaccination for all employees.

It surprised me that my grandma’s assisted living (in a blue state) is not requiring visitors to be vaccinated. One of my aunts is newly anti-vax and is visiting all the time, despite my mom and other siblings asking her not to. My aunt is not the type who who print up some fake vaccination card, if she was told she couldnt visit her mom I suspect she’d just get the vaccine. If places like that aren’t requiring vaccination it’s hard to see places with less at risk requiring them.

Do residents have to be vaccinated?

Unfortunately, the cautious will be limited more I think than the stupid.

It is like how gun owners rights TRuMP the rights of those who want to be safe from getting shot, having our kids attend schools without active shooter drills, etc.

Freedom run amok.

I hope you will be happy homeschooling your children. After the vaccines are available to children 2-11 (likely around the end of 2021 or early 2022), then they will be required for children to attend public school, the same as multiple other vaccinations are required annually.

We are not helpless in the face of such nonsense. Vote for candidates that intend to have vaccine mandates and intend to regulate fire arms down to where we can stop assuming problems will be solved with firearms. We can have a country with respect for science and disrespect for out of control weapons manufacturing if that is what we choose.

They way is not to force the unvaccinated but to give back choices and freedom to those who are vaccinated.

Aren’t we over this conversation yet ?

Fair point- my understanding is that most if not all residents are but the staff is a mixed bag. So if they mandate among the residents and staff it would be unfair to do so on the visitors. I was just surprised because they went from allowing no visitors to any with no real limitations.

They legally cannot require it or ask. If its an issue, they have no visitors.
