I guess I shouldn't be that surprised that women like soft-corn porn with a flimsy plot line filled with unrealistic romance, but I kind of am. As a 44 year old married woman, that Jane Austen shit does NOT resonate with me.

Jane Austen was much too intelligent for Bridgerton.

+ a million
I mistakenly thought Bridgerton was going to be Jane Austin-esque. Imagine my disappointment.

I thought Sanditon on PBS was going to be Jane Austen-esque, so I was disappointed.

I thought Shonda was gonna do Shonda, and I thought Bridgerton was fun.

Me too. I’m not watching it because it is high art. I want a mindless, sexy romp. It is that.

Yeah, I knew what it was. The books are much the same. It's not Pride and Prejudice. I will be watching all the Bridgerton seasons, I'm guessing. I did not care for 50 Shades.

Agree, very enjoyable on this cold home bound weekend. Love the soundtrack too.

Bridgerton is fun and I love the costumes and sets. It's like a pseudo historical Hallmark movie with hot sex.

Truthfully I don’t even know. We were watching and they were singing and it was a lot of nope. We need it less than five minutes. It looks goofy.

If you didn’t watch the show then of course you wouldn’t.
