Bullis Lacrosse Situation

if not for a illegal stick check challenge. Bush league to have the stick check in last minute of the game.

If you watched the game on ESPNU with about a minute left in the game, the stick got checked to the ground by the Bullis defender, the stick bounced off of the ground and the ball did not come close to coming out. I would say that clearly deserves a check, even for a face-off guy.

Bullis was leading by 1 at the time and what makes you think Hill would have scored a goal. Hill offense was not very good in the 2nd half. Bullis clearly was better in the 4th quarter.

Asking for a stick check is not against the rules. Sorry Bullis beat your school's team.

Was watching with my son, who is a fogo, and he called for a stick check before the Bullis coach did.

More bush league to cross check a kid to the back of the helmet after the final whistle blows. I can't imagine I was the only person who saw that. I thought Hill played some dirty lacrosse...Not a Bullis homer, but I would think the IAC/D.C. folks would be a little more proud that a local team won this tourney against some top level competition.

Bullis coach called for a stick check on a Landon ASSISTANT COACH during a very close game with only a few minutes left several years ago. Landon assistant was carrying on old stick that was not given to any of the players to use during the game but rule is that anyone on the sideline can be subject to a stick check. Clearly the Bullis coach was aware that the Landon assistant coach’s was not legal prior to the game and waited until a crucial moment at the end of the game to make the request. Landon subsequently played a man down but still won the game. When people come on to this site wondering about the abuse being directed at Bullis, this incident is an example of why people feel they way they do about Bullis.

Bellistri is not particularly well liked by many head coaches in the area, it’s a well known fact.

Sounds like a smart call and sour grapes. The Landon coach should have known and abided by the rules.

The Landon AC is a total jerk and deserved what he got. When Landon later beat Bullis for the tournament championship, he yelled F bombs at the Bullis players. Stuff like that (as well as SAT cheating scandals, fantasy sex leagues and other stuff) is why people feel the way they do about Landon. You live in a glass house.

God you people are shameless. Are you really reaching back to ancient history on the "stick-check" game? It's fascinating to see how Landon folks behave now that they aren't the big dogs in local lacrosse. Bordley would be embarrassed.

You do realize Landon and Bullis were co champs last year in 2018.

Bullis was co champs with GP this season as a result of their regular season loss.

And Landon finished 2017 undefeated and #1 in US.

It's funny, I don't see Georgetown Prep anywhere on this list
